Vienna is not cheap, but the Hotel Pension Shermin makes it affordable. Just a few minutes walk from the centre in a quiet location, it has none of the frills of an expensive 5 star hotel, but everything else. We are after two nights in pension hotel Shermin. It is in fact a whole floor (the first floor) in a now under external renovation building. Disadvantages: 1. Noise of traffic- it is on a very busy street, even during night hours. 2. No elevator- there are 25 stairs to the first floor. 3. No air condition- for hot days.... more
