Stooped for night back in May. It was only hotel with vacancy during Euro-vision song context weekend. Thanks for that Europe, I have discovered great hotel. Impressive building, quirky rooms and great breakfast. Will come back definitely

This hotel is gorgeous. Yes, it has some age on it, but it's well-maintained & affords spectacular views of the city from its mountaintop location. You'll need a car or to use public transportation to get down into the city - unless you want a serious hike - but the surrounding acreage & walking trails make for a nice lazy... More

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as part of a group tour stay. Location wise very far from city. There is however a bus stop outside hotel. Views from dining room are amazing though. As for the room it took me a while to open the door with the key. Had to jiggle it a bit. There was... More

In the middle of the summer...31 degrees at night and No aircon, only a small fan. No complimentary coffee/tee. The tv did not work, I was simply told we will try and fix it tomorrow and I think its overpriced for what it provides. The scenary is nice...but gardens are not well maintained.

It is surely one of the budget friendly hotel, and the service is prompt, friendly and excellent. The rooms are well cared for, and very neatl with all the basics present. The breakfast is surely one of the best and included in the price( if one desires) and REALLY very good with even smoked salmon given. the ambiance is great... More

Located high up with scenic views of the city. The breakfast buffet is excellent.Plenty of free parking. The property is looking a little tired both inside and outside but the rooms were immaculate and the bathroom fittings brand new.If you do not have a car a bus stops outside the hotel.nearby attractions include the schonbrun Palace and the Zoo(don't miss the pandas... It is a beautiful hotel in an lush surrounding. Hotel is an old building and has radiators for heat but no air-condition. It was a hot day and our room was on the top floor which would have been the attic. We only had a dormer style windows with no screens. The room gets the afternoon sun and it felt... More

I liked the large bedroom. The biggest we had while touring six cities. There are only 87 rooms so not a lot of people crowding at the breakfast buffet. Breakfast was adequate, typical buffet style, but the dinner service was lacking. Only four tables occupied and two waiters who weren't exactly friendly and were slow. Food was good though. The... My Wife and I stayed in the Executive room 218 from May 12-18, 2015. Beautiful view from the room andtl the Hotel staff was amazing and very accommodating. On Friday and Saturday nights, there were wedding receptions that were very loud, so if you are there during wedding season, ask to stay further down the hall. There is a bus... More

We spent two nights here and it was well worth it. The hotel is situated in an old historical manor house with an absolute gorgeous view of vienna. The hotel is equipped with wifi. Our room had a bathroom and small living room at the lower level with an enormous window opening onto a view of vienna and the bedroom... More

Staying in Ottakring

Neighborhood Profile
Ottakring
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
