Location of this hotel is very good if you want do shopping. Walking 50m and you are allmost middle of Mariahilfenstrasse. And walking into old town Vienna is not the problem, about 1,5 km. Metro station is right next to hotel in Mariahilffenstrasse and bus and tram are also going street nearby. Rooms are nice and there's enough space and... More

This ideally located boutique hotel boasts a comfy sitting lounge, a varied and authentic Austrian breakfast, a sultry little cigar bar, and such helpful staff. They were able to assist us kindly with setting up a bus tour and restaurant reservation. Both the bedroom and bathroom is clean, comfortable, and spacious. We stumbled upon Fuerst Metternich the day before our... More

The hotel has wonderful location, the staff is very kind, the lobby is nice and the bar is charming. Wi-Fi worked perfect during all our stay. The breakfast was reach and not expensive, even with prosecco included. The only problem is that the rooms are very different, with booking of superior room you can receive either a tiny threadbare room... More

Hotel is 1 minute from Maria Hilfer Strasse. Little bit shabby looking but rooms are renovated and clean. Bathroom good size and clean. Bed and pilows are very good.Very good value for many. Elevator is too small.

What I liked in this hotel: 1. I can't but praise all the members of staff. They are really kind and helpful. 2. Not a chain hotel. 3. A great sitting lounge (which they call 'salon'), separated from the reception area, very comfortable and calm for reading and staying. 4. The dining room is smashing. The decoration, the music, the... More

My wife stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. At check in we were offered an upgraded room at no extra charge, pleasant start to stay. Room was large with a lovely bathroom andwas comfortable. The breakfast items offered were more than adequate and everything of good quality. The position of the hotel is excellent being just a... Very nice hotel, in good location next to Maria-Hilfer strasse, one of the major shopping zones, and 1 min walk from metro station. The room we stayed was really nice, with good and comfy beds, nice bathroom, very clean and nicely decorated. We were upgraded to this superior room without surcharge, which was really nice from them. We had a... More

It was suggested to us by a friend (who lives in Vienna) to stay in the 7th District during our brief stay here in early January this year. The entrance to Hotel Fuerst Metternich is deceptive, as we mistook the sign for an American Bar (which actually is on the lower level of the Hotel's premises). The room we stayed... More

Hotel position is excellent. Next to two metro stations (one, Zieglergasse, is just round the corner). Museumsquartier is very near. You can reach city center by walking in about 20 minutes. Nice atmosphere in the hotel. Our room was not so large, but very clean. I do not like moquette (not present in the bathroom, luckily), but it was cleaned... More
