very friendly service, my room was small, no view, but had everything I needed, including a/c and a safe. The hotel and my room were very clean. Buffet breakfast was very good with a good choice and several coffees. The hotel is quite centrally located, tram, an underground station are near by, also many shops and restaurants, about 15 mins... More

Well located hotel with friendly and caring stuff and very good buffet breakfast. I really liked how they tried to do their best and even invited me for a drink and gave me good advice for day trip. However in the other hand the hotel has some negative issues: the elevator was so slow and not functional ( most of... More

Dear MHN2026, We attentively read your comments and thank you for taking the time to inform us about your impressions and giving us important suggestions for improvement opportunities. As you wrote we only have one elevator at the hotel, so that slightly longer waiting times can occur. Sorry, for that. The room keys are a conscious decision in order to... More

An excellent hotel so close to District 1. A walk across the canal bridge brings you to St Stephen's Cathedral in 10 minutes. Comfortable rooms, clean and well maitained, with efficient airconditioning and ours was really quiet. Breakfast was varied and consisted of a delightful buffet constantly topped up,but most impressive was the high standard of customer service. All staff... More

This hotel is very near the centre of town and we were delighted with our room which had snowy white bedding and towels and was very clean. If you wish to have tea and coffee facilites in your room you only have to ask at reception and they will be provided at no cost. The young man on reception was... More

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times during the past 2 years and I liked it every time. The location is excellent - close to Stephansdom and to subway and trams - which can take you almost everywhere in the city or around it. Rooms are quite spacious - even the single ones. The breakfast is very good, a lot... More

A five minute walk to the city centre. The local area is also well worth exploring with pubs, cafes and bars without the crowds. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. We found the older style of the hotel quite charming. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was brilliant with fresh quality produce.

This hotel deserves the name as it is centrally located. Decent size rooms and clean. This place is located in District 2 which is close to all the major attractions in District 1 that is Innere Stadt. The fromt desk was welcoming and suggested some good things to do nearby.

The best thing by far about this place is its location: close to various sights ("Prater", St. Stephans cathedral), the subway station "Schwedenplatz", the station of the airport bus, bars, clubs, etc. The rooms are a little old-fashione but more than ok for a weekend trip. And they all have aircon which is great, specially in summers like this year.... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
