We (my wife and I) had a very pleasant weekend stay in this hotel. About 5 minutes walk from a Ubahn station, it is in a quiet part of Vienna near the Danube river. Very clean, friendly staff and lots of good facilities. A pleasant coffee/drinks bar and nice outside gardens to sit peacefully if required. The rooms very excellent... More

Stayed here twice this year, both time for 2 nights biz trip to Vienna. Overall experience is OK - but make super sure you don't get low floor and road facing room - there is no air conditioning at all (only air fan) and you need to oper the windows. If your room is facing the street you'll be waken... More

As long as you're planning on spending all of your time out of the hotel, this place is okay. The beds are not double, but singles pushed together. The room was big, but space was taken up by an unnecessary third bed. There was one tiny window making it really dark in the room. The walls had stains on them.... More

Simple hotel with the basics. My room was very clean. Also spacious, good neighborhood, with a large grocery store a block away, and the subway 5 minutes walking. Acceptably friendly staff too. Wifi worked well. Elevator sometimes acted up, taking you down before up...

I would recommend this hotel to any visitor. There may not be much for families with small children, but the underground train station and bus stops are nearby for easy access to other attractions in the city. The hotel itself is well maintained, spacious rooms, clean bathrooms and well serviced by friendly staff. Breakfast is light but good on the... More

I arrvied for an 8 day stay on one of the hottest days of the summer, jet lagged, dirty, and sweating more so than I ever hae done in my life. I was looking forward to a cold shower and finally the ability to cool off. The room was small and rudimentary - it did not appear sanitary as there... More

The hotel does have an impressive facade and entrance. However, the rooms are bland and small. I ordered a King room and it consisted of two twin beds still made up individually but just pushed together. If you do have issues stepping over very high tubs, make sure you find a room with hand rails. I enjoyed the breakfast despite... More

Came here as my godson was playing in a football tournament. Staff at reception were mixed as some were friendly others couldn't be bothered to muster a smile. Rooms are very basic but clean. Breakfast choices were very limited and we had to pay extra for anything hot. No frills hotel

Located a short subway (underground) ride from downtown Vienna, this small, clean boutique hotel is a short distance from the subway in an older working class neighborhood. It's also a short walk to the Danube through a park where many of the river cruise boats dock. The hotel staff is very pleasant and the breakfast offerings were among the best offered... More

All went perfect, and their breakfast just impressed us. Staff was helpful and kind, rooms didn't have a coffee maker, so I guess their breakfast was a compensation for it. Rooms had a fridge and there is a good grocery store almost near the entrance, so we could have snacks when we wanted. 5 min or so walk to a... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
