We had a comfortable and clean room with a private bath (even a bath tub); very appealing breakfasts were provided. We were allowed to check in early after a long flight. This was very much appreciated. We were with a group and had several excellent meals in the hotel. There was a meeting room on the ground floor which was... More

Found this to be a nice and simple hotel with a nice spacious room. A short walk from the Vorgartenstraße underground station which then connects you back to the heart of Vienna. The hotel is located in a fairly quiet/residential area with only a few eateries nearby. There are two supermarkets across the road (including Aldi) and a nice Indian... More

Nice clean hotel, good wi-fi, lots of parking space in front of the hotel which is free on weekends. Billa supermarket across the street. Metro station near by and direc line to the city center Stephans platz (only a few stations).

We stayed here for 5 nights, to make a surprise visit to family...Whilst a short walk from the U-Bann and then some four stops to the city centre, we found this hotel met all our needs. Easy to locate, near to the Danube, get a pass for the transport and you can get around really easy. Reasonably priced, clean, good... More

We settled in this hotel located four metro stops away from the city center. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and tidy hotel staff was friendly, although they did not know recommend a quality restaurant near the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was just ok

I stayed there for 2 weeks for business trip. I have to say besides good location and spacious room and bed, my colleague and I are both disappointed: 1. It has the worst internet I have ever experienced, a 10 min skype call, even without viedo can stop 3 to 4 times. I have to work in the bathroom to... More

I can deal with an older place for the right price, but the carpet and chairs were a bit too dirty for me. Also the shower filled up with water the instant you turned it on, so wanting a refreshing shower after traveling was not to be had. I must admit I read reviews accidentally for the other Austria Trend... More

We (my wife and I) had a very pleasant weekend stay in this hotel. About 5 minutes walk from a Ubahn station, it is in a quiet part of Vienna near the Danube river. Very clean, friendly staff and lots of good facilities. A pleasant coffee/drinks bar and nice outside gardens to sit peacefully if required. The rooms very excellent... More

Stayed here twice this year, both time for 2 nights biz trip to Vienna. Overall experience is OK - but make super sure you don't get low floor and road facing room - there is no air conditioning at all (only air fan) and you need to oper the windows. If your room is facing the street you'll be waken... More

As long as you're planning on spending all of your time out of the hotel, this place is okay. The beds are not double, but singles pushed together. The room was big, but space was taken up by an unnecessary third bed. There was one tiny window making it really dark in the room. The walls had stains on them.... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
