The Mercure is in a great location just north of the Danube canal, less than a 5 minute walk from both a tram and subway (U-bahn) stop, which gets you quickly to anywhere in Vienna. The hotel itself is on a side street, so it's quiet. Most of the hotel is non-smoking and we spent three nights in a very... more

Wonderful hotel with convenient bus and u-bahn stops nearby. We walked to local shops and enjoyed the area restaurants. It was nice to be a little off the beaten path of the tourists yet close enough to see all the wonderful site in Vienna. more

We went to Vienna with my mom for 2 nights. The night before I logged into Trip Advisor and kind of freaked out with the negative reviews and the news of an ongoing contruction. I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival I saw the construction going on in the main building. I asked if there would... more

By far, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The first problem I experienced was the noisy construction going on, both at the hotel and next door. Then I was given, what appreared to be a nice, non-smoking room - except for the fact that it smelled like cigarette smoke masked with men's cologne. I asked for... more

The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The moment you arrive to the reception desk you feel welcomed. The staff is very friendly and the services are excellent. Thge breakfast is great. There are many shops and restaurants close. There are also several bus stops very close running to different places of the City. All in all, staying at... more

We stayed here 1 night in April. Location was good , right across from the subway and walking distance from the inner circle. We were in the annex so the main hotel may be different but we never saw any hotel staff from the moment we checked in. The beds were really small but the room was large. It was OK.... more

Avoid absolutely this hotel. For the substantial amount of money yu pay, you get a very basic room, with IKEA-style furniture. In addition, I had a ventilator running through the entire night which I could not turn off. AVOOID more

I stayed at this hotel for a 3 night city break and was extremely disappointed. Firstly, I cannot understand how this hotel has been awarded 4 stars. Nor can I believe the some of the relatively high scorings awarded by trip advisor reviewers. This is a very basic hotel and felt more like a 2 or 3 star at best.... more

Excellent location - 5-10 minutes to St Stephens Cathedral (Stepansdom). good, spacious clean rooms, ideal for breakfast., although cheaper to buy your own in the city centre. look for the irsih bar in the centre for warm welcome and good food. more

I have stayed in literally dozens on hotels on business over the past few years and this is the only one I have checked out early from. I'm not a complaining sort of guy but I draw the line at being charged 4 star prices for a room that looks like it belongs in a youth hostel. I only wish... more
