Once arriving to the place I had read reviews that people have been moved to the hotel across the road as they have 3 hotels joined and owned under the same name. So I walk in and as expected I am across the road, I advise them of the room I have paid for and have been promised 4 stars... More

We had booked a junior suite for 4 persons online after seeing the room photos posted by hotel management, however at the time of checkin we were given some other room which was like pigeon hole. Upon requesting we were then transferred to other room which again was not as shown on the website during booking, staff was not at... More

The picture on the hotels.com and their pwn website shows a bigger room of junior suite, however actual room size is way way too small. Its very claustrophobic and small. They have various sizes of junior suite rooms but nothing of that sort is mentioned on their website on any hotel booking websites. What they show is the picture of... More

We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite, duplex style with staircase to the bedroom and loo upstairs, with lounge area and bathroom downstairs. It was ok but we thought a bit overpriced for what it was, especially compared to the superb and much cheaper 4 star hotel in Prague we'd just come from. The breakfast buffet on offer... More

The building that you check into gives you the impression of a very nice hotel however we were sent to the opposite side of the road for our room and despite being told that there would be a possibility to change our rooms to the main site of the hotel, we were not given this opportunity. The room is outdated... More

My room was fabulous, bed was comfortable and the aircon was appreciated in the 36 degree heat. Great facilities in the room, ok service on reception, disappointed that there was no on site dining except for breakfast. Would stay again. I can't comment on the rooms in the nestroy as I didn't see them. Bar staff were lovely

This 4 star hotel is easily accessible with the various means of transport. It is a few minutes walk from Schwedenplatz and Schweden bridge over the Danube canal. The room we used was very good. There was a small fridge, TV, phone and tea-coffee facility. The cleaning and towels were enough. The bathroom was good with very good shower facility.... More

The hotel is much more modern than it appears from the outside. Quiet residential neighborhood - perfect for actually getting some rest. Short 15 minute walk to the inner city where you will find everything. Room was clean and spacious. AC worked great. Wifi was decent. Didn't have any of the food or drinks there.

The hotel is a bit out of the city centre, 10 min by public transport.... Rooms are big and nice even if the look old. The receptionist is friendly. It doesn't look as a 4 stars hotel, maybe a 3 stars.... Wifi signal drops in the room and it's slow...Anyway we had a good stay.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2015

To be clear, this is two hotels, across the street from one another. One of them is quite old and shabby, with no facilities. The other is apparently nicer, although I wasn't assigned there - I was assigned to the old, shabby building. Ancient elevator, dated rooms, overpriced considering the quality. The main building might be worth 70-80 euros a... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
