It can be a bit tricky to find from the subway but it's actually walking distance. When we checked in we had trouble finding our floor. Take a wrong turn and well you get a bit lost. Other than that, the room was clean and spacious. It was one of the only hotels we stayed in (in Europe) that had... More

The location is excellent (between two main subway stops), the facility is attractive and clean, the personnel friendly and helpful, and the price is reasonable. The breakfast was more than enough, though a bit expensive for those of us who only want a bowl of granola, some juice, and a cup of coffee.

upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade to a suite for a fair price. we took a look at both rooms and decided we preferred the room we'd booked. it was a lovely room on the top floor. short people, such as myself, aren't able to see the view out the windows, but since it's only neighboring buildings, it was... Three couples spent four nights here in mid Feb 2015. Hotel is approximately a twenty minute walk from the main city square. It is set in a quiet side street. Easy walk to centre but if weather poor may be not be such a good choice. Hotel is modern and all rooms well equipped and large with good sized bathroom.... More

Location -great for Prater! Very easy to get to all the Viennese central places, right by Taborstrasse U-Bahn (underground). The hotel beds are rather hard but comfortable. Really spacious room for a standard level. Lovely little spa -extremely quiet!!! Perfect short stay. Great service: I've met only three different receptionists each day all Of them very nice, polite, well spoken... More

The positives - 1. Excellent location, 15 min walk over the river into the old town centre and 10 minutes the other way to Prater and the ferris wheel. 2. Impeccably clean hotel, spotless rooms that are very well cleaned with tea/coffee making facility and a well stocked mini bar at fair prices. A good bathroom with a bath and... More

I was cutting down on costs and this hotel was not expensive. They sort of understood my request for one big blanket in that they did provide an extra one for my girlfriend, but if you are not Austrian or German you will understand what I mean. The location is good, it's three tram stops from the center of Vienna.... More

Dear value guest, thank you very much for reviewing our property. I am glad that you were our guest during your stay in Vienna. I regret the misunderstanding with the blanket as well as the experience with my staff – I will personally take care in order to train them a bit furhter in order to avoid any further inconveniences.... As a frequent traveller I can assure you this hotel is fast and reliable if it comes to service. The garage is convenient if you book in advance! Is a good location you can get in walking distance some nice parts of the city. I can recommend as business or tourist as well.

Location wise, the hotel is only a 15 minute walk to the city center and the metro stations are accessible by foot. I like the effort of the hotel crews in showing us the city map and letting us know the interesting Vienna attractions upon checking in. Although, in the evening guest requests are likely being refused for they are... More

Stayed for an evening while touring the area. Staff and facility was beyond expectations. Metro station a short walk and a few measly stops and City Center is there to be had. Parking was extra but in a well secured building. Highly Recommend for any business or tourist in the area

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
