I found this hotel to be at the lower end of 5 star hotels. But we had a very good deal on the price so I feel it was worth it. The room was spacious, very clean, nice bathroom. The restaurant was a bit pricey for dinner as well as the buffet breakfast which was not included in our rate.... More

In a scale of ten I'd give it eleven! Though not a clearly 5 star hotel - I was not too happy with the blind window and the noise insulation of the room, I have nothing but good words to say! The spot is a 10- 40 minutes walk from almost all sightseings within the 'ring' and if you are... More

Stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter break with friends, we loved the hotel. Rooms are a good size with high ceilings and the beds are comfy. Dressing area and bathroom both great. Our room was a tad warm but you can always open the window. Breakfast, wow there is defo something for everyone, smoked salmon, sushi, cheeses, meats,... More

It is not 5* hotel. Elegant large building hearth of city. Very close to everyting, what You need, posicion very great. But... The room looks like pansion. 30 years old small television, bed was not comfortabel, very similar bathroom, not special all. Style? Wi-Fi is not working very well. Breakfast just excellent.

Ideal location adjacent to an underground station but all major sights are within walking distance. The very grand City Palace where the Spanish Lippenzer horses perform is just a 6-8 mins stroll. The hotel is slightly tired but otherwise it is exceptionally clean and our room was very large with 2 bathrooms! This made the trip so much more comfortable... More

An elegant hotel situated in a perfect location, close to the major city sites, and next to the metro station. The rooms are big as well as the bathroom.. well heated with all the amenities hair-dryer, ironing, etc. contrary to the bed's size which wasn't convenient and a bit small relatively to the room. The staff was so professional and... More

We stayed here for a week, in one of the rooms on the top floor that are called Junior Suites. The room was nice but not special. It is two floors, a smallish living room below and a loft type bedroom above. There is a second small functional bathroom off the bedroom, which is unusual, but it only holds a... More

Very conveniently placed for the University, Innen Stadt, trams and U-Bahn. Our large cool room was much appreciated when we arrived feeling less than well. Cost seemed very fair for a Deluxe room. We enjoyed eating at Zum Leupold which is just a few minutes away.

The "Hotel de France' is on the Ring- right next to an U-Bahn station- you can walk to the center so it's a perfect location! We had a very nice room - not too small, a bit old (change that TV!!!) but clean , and a nice bath, but the bed was too soft for me. the public areas are... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighborhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighborhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
