it must have been a glorious place to stay... about 200.000 years ago. The lobby is a shining example of how it could have looked and the view on Schönbrunn park is amazing however the rooms smell, everything is very scruffy, curtains old and dirty and the breakfast buffet isn't worth 17 EUR either. I heard the hotel is going... more

I was booked into this hotel by a reputable English tour company whom I shall not use again. The place has not been decorated since Harry Lime possibly stayed here? Was apparently used by guests of the Emperor in a previous existence, and I was intrigued to see a receptacle for bedpans by my bed. The wallpaper was once good,... more

The hotel is just near Schinbrunn Palace, and u can take a walk in the park. Great staff, lovely food , very nice rooms and room service. definitly a four star hotel. The only problem is if u receive a room with no view, at a lower floor. more

We travelled with a coach tour and this hotel was in our package. If travelling on our own we would not consider this hotel. Looks lovely from the outside and Lobby and Lounge-bar have a WOW factor but that is as far as it goes. Rooms and corridors, lifts are very tired and in need of upgrade. We spent most... more

This 100-year old hotel is full of old world elegance and charm; cyrystal chandeliers, wood panelled walls, etc.. The bedroom and bathrooms were large and very clean, and the windows actually opened. Very comfortable bed(s), with two feather pillows each, so be aware in case of allergies. We went out for meals so can't vouch for the food but we... more

We like our staying there. this hotel is not a typical tourist hotel, may not be of 4 star quality, but make it up with its historical atmosphere. the room is very large, even by American standard, staff were very helpful, subway is a block away, there's also a tram line that goes directly to train station. Room probably need... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights in May. When we booked we were promised a bath in our room as my wife has difficulty using a shower. However, when we arrived there was only a shower in the room. We asked the manager to be moved to a room with a bath and we were... more

We knew that this hotel would be a bit out of the way, so be forewarned! It is 7 metro stops from the city center of Vienna, so it was not too bad. Still, it might have been worth it to spend a bit more and be in the downtown area where there is more to see and do. The... more

Is a greath big hotel , Old style. No expensive and with metro very close. If outside the building is not 10 points, inside all are ok. breackfast, rooms, lobbie, etc. Is a good option 15 minutes to downtown in metro. more
