Excellent location with very friendly and supportive staff. Lot of restaurants, tourist spots and shops are located very close within walking distance. But the rooms are too small and can prove to be uncomfortable for some families. Breakfast spread is decent but can be improved. The biggest problem is air-con which is almost non-functional. Last week was very hot and... More

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Check in was efficient and friendly, upon my arrival in the morning the room was already available. Reception staff were great, always ready to help. Room on the 7th floor was very clean, modern, comfortable and quiet, bed was great I didn't eat in the restaurant, so can't comment on the quality... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night with my boyfriend in July. It was a last minute booking due a business issue that ran over to the next day. I booked around 3 hours before we got to the hotel, room was ready very nice and clean. Staff on the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Room itself... More

I have been to this hotel earlier and so I decided to come back. It was a good decision. Check in was quick, very friendly and efficient. The front desk representative Katharina recognized me as Accor Le Club Gold Member and I got a room upgrade to the "Privilege room" category. Room number was 602. Since my last stay they... More

I stayed here 3 nights for business. The location is great! The rooms are decent size and it was very clean. The breakfast was not good and very expensive. You are better off buying something to eat in the street. The Wifi was not good. I had trouble connceting my laptop. Service was good and it had a good atmosphere.

location is excellent; Hotel located in the heart of Wien Hotel is old, room was small, but the room was clean. there were 2 main problem: 1-the WIFI speed was very low. 2-we stayed in 2nd floor and it was noisy during the day and night (because the area is crowded.

We stayed at the Hotel Mercure Wien Zentrum for five days, as from 13 to 17 July 2015 included. Situated near the center of the city, quiet with very good service, efficient staff and good breakfast. Being a member of the Accor Hotels, offers an extra confidence

Stayed there October 2014 at the end of a 3 week trip.It was necessary to change rooms after one night. My first room was miniscule. This is a "charm- free" hostelry with a good breakfast and very efficient staff- they got a seat assignment for my return flight. I would have preferred to stay at the nearby Hotel Royal where... I was a regular visitor to the Mercure in Bergamo which was good, so I thought this one won't be too bad. Oh boy I was completely wrong! The room is hot like an oven. We turned the aircon to full blast but there's no air coming out of it at all. We are not the only ones suffering, I... More

For a couple of reasons: It is in the center of the city, but in a quiet street. And Mercure offers good rooms for a reasonable price, which is why I like this chain. And they are virtually everywhere. We got a nice room on the 6th floor, street view. Not that there is much too see actually 8^) Stephans... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
