Hotel is in great position, in the centre, very close to Albertina, nice old style palace. Room was big and clean, with wonderful bath. To sum up, great value for money. (I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment it)

We spent three nights at the Astoria and found it excellent. We had been upgraded to a junior suite on the second floor so we got really good value for money. The room was large and the quality of the bed and the double glazing meant that we slept really well. The hotel is right in the centre of the... More

This hotel is a part of old Vienna and has many Art Deco features. WiFi is free and perfectly adequate in all the rooms. Breakfast is very good too with inclusive cooked options plus all the usual fresh fruits and cheeses and Vienna speciality bread. The room size is decent with comfortable beds and good quality linen. Bathroom was clean... More

Having just spent four night here, I cannot give it 4 stars but can say. The staff were great. The room tiny with lots of noise from road from deliveries from 5am - 8am. Vans pulling up, slamming doors and loud conversations. Along with late night revellers !!!! The hotel is very dated but very clean. The room was tiny.... More

The staff really made this stay a pleasure. I was there in the middle of the Holiday season - a great time to visit Vienna, BTW. Everytime I had a question or an issue, somebody was there with a smile, a great attitude, and needed help - from directions to changing money to special requests - nothing was a problem.... More

This hotel is located right in the heart of Vienna, you can walk everywhere, are just one step away from St. Stephen's Cathedral, restaurants and trendy stores. We did not use public transportation because it was located so centrally. The room is very spacious, the bed is really confortable and the free wi-fi works really good. The bathroom is big... More

Stayed a week in this beautiful hotel! It is situated in the heart of Vienna. During our stay almost never used transport, as everything was near by. 5 minutes walk to St. Stevens Cathedral, 2 minutes walk to the Opera, lots of restaurants near by. 3 minutes walk to the Albertina. Fans of the movie Grand Hotel Budapest, will really... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
