We spent Christmas in Vienna and the grand hotel was a great choice. The staff was very helpful and the location of the hotel could not have been better. The rooms had an old world charm.

My wife and I just returned from an 8 night stay at the Grand Hotel Wien. From the exceptional staff (especially Andy at the conceirge desk), to the clean and beautiful room, and the terrific location, this hotel is as good as it gets. I would/will stay there again on my next visit to Vienna.

We stayed at this hotel before Christmas time, and the whole experience was fantastic. The hotel is ideally located with the main shopping street, Sacher torte, Opera, and mall just around the corner. The lobby was beautiful with a huge christmas tree and a pianist playing on a baby grand. All the staff, from checking till room service was stress-free... More

Stayed 3 nights as a romantic short break in Vienna, knew the hotel website promised wonderful things but exceeded expections. I had booked a deluxe room which was beautiful, luxurious and comfortable. The food and service was wonderful and all the staff were very helfpul. Would definitely stop here again.

Alot have been written already - I would have to agree to all of the positive comments, that were posted. Great location to a shopper: right near the Ringstrassegalerie. Great choice for a tea&music lover: we love to come down to the lobby bar to get a great service for tea (previously also, sigars - not anymore due to government... More

Dear 'HellRott', your comments on your stay with us are highly appreciated. Our service is indeed special and individually focused, I do apologize for the 'smoking issues' which we need to follow due to Austrian regulations, but we still offer our Kavalierbar as smoking area. Looking very much forward welcoming you again at the Grand Hotel Wien. Best regards! More

The room was lovely and the breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. The pianist playing in the lobby was delightful. The hotel is very well situated close to many interesting places, and very handy for the underground. Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
