In a nutshell: - great location nearby subway - loved the sauna & steambath - super rooftop bar - nice rooms - loved how everything was al little bit "mad" - breakfast is too expensive (tip: use the take-away version for 7 euro)

Cute boutique hotel. Superb dinner. Great bar. Very nice room overlooking a park. Excellent wifi and lovely bathroom. Only downside was my room was over the downstairs bar, and it was noisy until the early hours.

The hotel couldn't be better located. The room was small but clean, comfortable and had a spectacular view. The bar on the top floor is really great as well. The reception staff however weren't very friendly, but it didn't affect our stay.

I spent 3 nights in this lovely crazy hotel. In the room is everything you need and not a single piece more. That was totally OK. The design is just matter of taste. I like their window from the bathroom to the bedroom - for having the room single used was fun. For a fresh couple could be a little... More

My boyfriend treated me to a bday surprise weekend in Vienna and knowing that I like all things a bit quirky he booked a room in this hotel. The room was amazingly decorated with a ballroom bathroom and circus decorations on the wall, quirky bits everywhere (especially the Do not disturb sign had 25 different options). The full window overlooking... More

The hotel is for young couples. Small rooms, no place for your clothes, no place for storage and no place to seat and work on your computer. There is free wifi, lots of noise and laughing from youngsters that enjoy at the top roof bar, and presumably lots of fun for young people but not good if you came to... More

Love this hotel. Incredible service, gorgeous rooms, modern luxury and a truckload of personality!! The overall attitude is not take it all too serious, except their service. One of my favourites in the world. The classic photo booth in the lobby is a must. Strike stupid poses for your fridge deco.

We had a little difficulty finding this hotel, but once we found it we were blown away by how awesome it was. The rooms are so quirky with awesome little details - the painting on the walls, the little elephant in the room (haha) and the delicious hair product in the bathroom - that we ended up hunting down and... We stayed here for 5 nights for our anniversary, in a suite which cost just under £1000 for the stay. I had explained prior to our arrival that this was for our 10 year anniversary and had therefore asked for a nice room with a good view. When we arrived their was a nice note it the room and a... My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights over new year and we had a wonderful time. The staff are very friendly and so helpful. We had a suite which was spacious and came equipped with a little kitchen which was great. The restaurant was excellent and the bar staff very helpful when choosing food and wine. We were... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
