This hotel is a great deal: close to lots of restaurants in downtown Vienna with many important tourist attraction within walking distance. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful and the place is clean and nice.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The welcome was very nice, our room was clean, clear and quiet. I liked the picture on the wall (room 221)! The breakfast, the lobby area, everything surprised me in a good way. You can see that they really care about their guests. The location is also very good, you can be... More

The location is great , right the city center, near to a lot of restaurants, theater and shops. The rooms are pretty clean and big enought. The staff at the reception desk is frendly. I think is a good value for the money you pay.

The IBIS may be a budget hotel but its rooms are clean and comfortable - they have free WiFi and even provide 2 chairs per room - and the breakfast is good with both hot and cold foods available. However the best news s that it's easy to get to from the Airport; just catch the Postbus at the terminal,... More

Outstanding value for the money. Great location. Clean rooms and ample breakfast. The staff is excellent. Robert at the front desk assisted one of my students in receiving medical attention when she was sick. This is a terrific property with professionals at the helm.

This hotel is convenient located near the train station. It's 1 1/2 block from the center of town. The breakfast buffet is huge but not included with your room. However it is convenient to get breakfast down the street. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

I'd like thank the staff for their responsiveness. We arrived at the hotel late evening and went to sleep. It became clear that our room was cold, and since we were with a small child, it was a real problem. Next morning I just mentioned this at the reception, and manager even without any request from my side has changed... More

I visited this hotel and stayed for 5 nights during a solo trip to Vienna. I have stayed in an Ibis numerous times so had prior expectations of what the hotel would be like - it was a typical Ibis - good standard, clean & tidy. Could have perhaps been a little more modern but suited the purpose and was... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
