I recently spend a night there during a business trip. Since the trip was short notice, my usual hotel in Vienna was already fully booked. Since the location was convenient and the price reasonable, I've decided to give this hotel a try. It is alright. Rooms are functional and clean, albeit lacking a bit of personality. My room was to... More

The rooms could do with a refresh. I had a non smoking room but could smell smoke. The breakfast was ok but not at all special and very busy without enough seating and felt very canteen like rather than a relaxing hotel experience. The free WiFi is terrible and drove me crazy. Location is ok if you want the shopping... More

The hotel is good to reach by car and by train as it's close to metro and train station. Check in is quick and friendly. The lounge area is nice and invites you to stay. The rooms are clean and have modern fresh feel.

This is a decent, no-frills, centrally located budget hotel. Close to the Westbahnhof station, it is well-situated for business purposes. Average breakfast. Small rooms which tend to get stuffy when it isn't cold.

Next to train station, very close to City Center so you can visit many sightseeings by walking. It's a very good hotel, clean, airconditioned (very necessary because we found very high temperatures last summer during our stay in Wien). Quiet rooms, friendly stuff. Excellent choice for peole who just want a clean room to rest and take a bath.

the hotel is located very close to the city center so the highlights of Vienna are easy accesible either on foot, if you like wslking, or by the public means of transport. The rooms are quite small but it doesn't matter at all since everything in there is situated at the right place. And it was certainly one of the... More

The rooms were very clean and pleasant to stay in. The location is great for transport links with the tube and tram stations just outside and the train station one stop on the tram. The bar was great. Room service was novel, we phoned down to reception at 2am to ask if room service was available and we're told yes... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
