In planning my first vacation in Vienna, Austria, I hadn't a clue as to where to stay. Using tripadvisor and several other online hotel sites, I stumbled upon the Mercure Secession Wien and boy am I glad I did. What's not to love: Excellent locale, great rooms, stupendous staff and an outstanding buffet breakfast bar. The hotel is walking distance... More

A very friendly and well kept hotel. We really enjoyed our time here and the staff made the place very welcoming. We were given a map and oriented the the check-in staff when we arrived, which was very useful and was also how we came to have our first Sacher tort. There was free wifi and free use of an... More

Great hotel, clean and comfortable. Location is superb, right next to Karlsplatz and the Nachtmarkt with its great pubs and restaurants. The rooms are large and quiet, with free WiFi and nice amenities. I think the price is a bit high - 140 euro not including breakfast.

The hotel is located close to city center, the room was quite, bath is large enough. The only complain about the room is that the windows in the room and in the bath are overlooking the elevator exit - it is impossible to open curtains in the room and in the bath there are no curtains at all, which makes... Stayed here for the first time and needed a centrally located hotel. And that is what it is, very near the city centre. But the hotel is a bit outdated and could do with an overhaul. Especially when it carries the 'Mercure' brand in its name. I'm used to expect more when I stay at Mercure. However, the rooms were... More

The hotel is in an old building and you can recognize it by high ceilings. Indeed the furniture is a bit outdated, but you have everything needed. The beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are big. Lobby and reception are a bit small. The staff seemed to be confused all the time (may be just a bad day). Stayed there only for... More

This was our third experience renting an apartment at the Mercure Secession. It is not the Ritz, but the apartments are large, very clean and provide all of the amernities clost to the Naschtmarkt , museums and the opera/old city via underground if you prefer. The staff is always upbeat and most accommodating. We would always stay at this venue.
