I spend 3 nights in this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Personal were nice. the day I was leaving early am. they forgot to give me wake up call. Our stay at the Mercure was very nice. We were in Room 420 which is very large and has a good view. The breakfast were very satisfying with all kinds of options including freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff was wonderful-so sweet and helpful. The location is excellent - 3 minutes from the Nachsmarkt, 2 minutes from the metro stop & 10 minutes from the Hofburg Palace & Museums Quartier. My husband and I just returned from a depressing trip to Vienna. We had booked a wonderful hotel only to show up and they tell us they didn't have anymore rooms. Extremely expensive for a room whose bathroom was visible through a window from the hall everyone walked past to get off the elevator. (We arrived late and didn't realize what the set up was until going into the bathroom and turning on the light--just a sheer curtain over the window which put on a live show for anyone walking past.)... more
