Positives first. The hotel has a good location, few minutes walk to Praterstern Underground. Rooms are clean and basic. Served with a lift and free wifi. Negatives now. Toilet and shower is illogically located within the room, literally. Wash basin is besides the bed and shower makes you uncomfortable since it is within the room. The hotel though called budget... The most basic room I have ever stayed in. The hotel is economy driven, no frills, shower located awkwardly beside the bed, and not quite located in the centre of Vienna. The internet is very poor within the rooms, and I had to sit in the main kitchen area to achieve any signal. It is the opposite side of town... More

A decent clean and simple hotel. On the plus side the rooms were quite and with adequate natural light. The weak points were that it is not located very close to the center, internet connection was terrible due to the vast amount of users and the bathroom was placed rather awkwardly. One of the cheapest hotels in town and very... More

Nice hotel. Clean and new. Breakfast good but kind of crowded..lack of places to sit. Customer service not so good. They are nice and correct, but if you ask for something that is not in the protocol they will not be so friendly and become kind of rude...maybe its time to start learning something with the south european people about... A simple room with basic facilities. The hotel is located at metro U2 Praterstern. To reach the hotel from airport, just board train S7, the fare is 4.40 euro. It is easy to find the hotel. The main landmark is Bank Austria, same row as Ibis. Next to Ibis Budget (blue logo) is Ibis (red logo), do make sure you... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
