The Bristol is centrally located, professionally run, and nicely luxurious. As one of the historical hotels in Vienna, I was worried that it might be a bit slack, but my worries were unfounded. Beautiful room; small, but well laid out. Great sheets/bedding, fixtures, etc. The television could use some updating but that's not really a concern if you're spending time... More

Strictly speaking I did not book this hotel. We had booked at the hotel Sacher but they were full and sent us here. But no complaints. The room was very big with a huge bathroom. We found the staff helpful and polite throughout. The concierge is a fount of knowledge and worth asking for all kinds of advice. The restaurant... More

The hotel has an excellent central location next to the Opera. The rooms have an older style but has been kept up very well and it offers turndown service. For dining we ventured out and found several great choices in the neighbourhood incl. Segafredo cafe for breakfast. The breakfast plate with ham, cheese, breads, orange juice and a coffee drink... I stayed here about 15 years ago and rated it very highly indeed. Things are very different now. My room was large but the furnishings resembled an auction room for bad reproductrion furniture and the carpets and drapes were in very bad taste. The bed was very comfortable. While the bathroom was large and clean, the towels were threadbare .Breakfast... More

Excellent location, green classical paperwall, water and fruits on arrival, excellent reservation at the Rebecca musical by the concierge (by the way you must see Rebecca even though you may not speak German, there's a list of arias in the programme and we all know the story anyway...). Everything has class and breakfast is on the large side. Recommended improvements:... More

Location. Cant get any better, across the Opera and walking distance to the pedestrian zone. Facilities. We've stayed in Starwood hotels in Italy, Spain, France, ... and this measures at the top in terms of facilities. We had the deluxe room which was very well decorated and attended to. Had separate walk-in closet, den area, toilet room and bath area... More

Vienna is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. This centrally located hotel has all the vienese elegance and is a few steps from everything cultural. Everything you would expect from a 5***** hotel. 2 minor points - only concierge parking is available and can take 30 minutes to retrieve the car. Only one (but very elegant) lift... More

The hotel was of high standard and all the staff were so helpful and polite. We felt we were stepping back in time ans the hotel still holds its orignal features. We stayed for Valentines night and ate in the resturant opposite the opera house. The food was to die for and the view of the opera house lit up was... More

We recently stayed at the Hotel Bristol in Vienna for four nights. The location is excellent, conveniently located across the street from the Opera House. Subway and trams are right outside the door! Concierge service though was very haughty! Room was quite nice, if a bit small. Large walk-in closet though. Good amenities & service while there. However, not worth... More
