Excellent location next to the Opear House with very good transport connections and close to many places of interests. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was ok, very outdated and old-fashioned in every sense of the word and clunky key for access that you have to leave behind at reception every time you go out. Bathroom is small with an undersized... More

This hotel consistently exceeds my very high expectations! We were treated like royalty. The service does not get any better than is provided at the Bristol. Fabulous, luxurious room. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service.i believe this is one of the finest hotels in the world.

I had no idea it would be as opulent a hotel as it was once I had arrived. Sometimes exceptionally fancy hotels can be rude and pretentious, here I was welcomed right away with warmth and genuine interest in where I was coming from, where I was going, and what I wanted to see while I was in the city.... The hotel is a good hotel for business travel. There seems to be a lot of business functions going on at the hotel. The decor of the hotel seems to be eclectic, comes across cold rather than welcoming. It is close to all the attractions. The concierge is not all that knowledgeable about some of the excursions that we wanted... More

We have been invited there for a wedding dinner. A luxury old fashioned place, but state of the art, with very good service and quality food. Hotel Bristol reminds me of the Grande Bretagne Hotel, in Athens, Greece, also member of Starwood International.

I visited this hotel when I was a student in 1966. Aside from all of the usual reviews, this place has some history. I believe the Bristol was USSR headquarters during the post WWII occupation. They had BBQed pigs in the main lobby at the foot of the grand stairs. I know the Sacher had members of the royal Habsburg... More

Old fashioned elegant and luxurious service and rooms. Beautifully refurbished, rooms, staff friendly and efficient. Nothing is too difficult or problem too hard. Concierge friendly and most helpful. We are here for 5 days, enjoyIng every moment.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, although very classic style. It had modern amenities, but the decor was very traditional. The rooms are huge for European hotels (complete with full walk in closet, a toilette room, a separate bathroom, a king sized bed, and a sitting area with mini bar). Turn down service and housekeeping is exceptionally impeccable and very timely.... More

We arrived in June in a visit weekend in town. Our room was ready earlier than check in and we were able to have a snack and the restaurant near the lobby. The decor on the hotel is old fashion yet it all looks nice together. The rooms are small but I assume this is the case for most hotels... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
