Stayed for long weekend. Hotel was as billed - grand hotel located right next to the Opera House. Easy access to metro, city centre, sights, etc... Sayed in a classic room which was very comfortable. Food, particualrly breakfast was excellent served in the stunning Bristol Lounge. Dinner was good too, we choose the bouillabaisse as a starter. I would have... More

We stayed at hotel Bristol for 2.5 days in June 2015. The room we had initially booked was the basic room. When we checked in we were slightly disappointed since the room looked quite dated, but I guess that was the whole concept of the hotel. We later upgraded to one of the modern rooms on the first floor. The... More

This hotel is beautiful. I was very impressed. The service was wonderful as well. My only complaint was the air conditioning not working that great but i guess that's pretty standard in Europe. Being an American, I am not used to that and being that it was August, my room was quite warm. Also, because of the lack of substantial... More

I checked in to Bristol Hotel on 21/8/2015. The check in was very smooth. My Room NO was 40 . I liked the option of selecting the deposit method either cash or credit. The room was very good in size and decorations was amazing. In the room i found an extra bed for free although i did not ask for.... More

Traveled to Vienna, Prague and Budapest in mid April with two adult children and two teenage grandchildren. The Bristol Hotel was FABULOUS! I was spoiled as we were in a two bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking the opera house. The rooms were elegant, huge, and very comfortable. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The location couldn't be better for... More

Glad I was in is hotel. Easy to reach points of interest and very close to market. Also went by foot at the history museum and Natural history museum. All Greeks should go to adios stefanos church and at the tavern where 'Φιλικοι' had meetings.

Stayed in a deluxe room with the Opera house view which was the highlight of our stay. The room also has a small balcony facing right of the big screen of the opera house and we watched the last show of the season there. Very convenient location with bus/subway stations almost right out of the door. You can also buy... More

Our room was hot, stuffy, stinky and very dark. Think we must have been over the kitchen constant cooking smell in hallways. Air conditioning not working well but in fairness Vienna is going through worst heatwave in two hundred years. TV was hidden behind the door to the hallway to bathroom and closet. When the closet door was opened far... More

Great old hotel, perfect location. It as elegant as the neighborhood it is in. The staff is very nice, rooms large and elegant although ac is not perfect. Concierge was very good by Starwood standards. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Hotel is located in the very heart of city center and has a very special charm and atmosphere of old times while even us as a young couple just loved it. Generelly excellent service, specially charming concierges Dieter and Thomas who made for us all the nice touches and reservation at Gasthaus zur Oper where I have had best schnitzel... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
