For the price this hotel is fantastic. The service was friendly and great (early check-in when jet-lagged from flight- the little things add up), the location ideal (across from Opera House), and the rooms very comfortable. While not as luxurious as the Sachers of Vienna, for the price the Bristol delivers well above expectations.

It was our first time to Vienna, so we loved being right next to the center of Vienna. The hotel was very nice and I liked the historic (1920's) feel of it. It was a definite change from our hotel in Saulsburg, which was a little, quaint place. The Bristol surely didn't have this feel, but it was great for... More

My usual hotel in Vienna is Le Meridien, which is generally quite nice, but as this was a couples trip I thought I would step it up a bit. What an excellent stay we had at the Bristol. Upon arriving we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was ready for an early check-in as requested and... More

We selected the Hotel Bristol because of its location and prestige. We had a very warm and friendly welcoming by the desk staff. The room was upgraded which was a pleasant surprise. The room its self was clean and spacious with great views towards the opera house. Very little noise was heard from the street or surrounding rooms. The concierge... More

Stayed here for work and had a very good night's sleep as well as a hearty breakfast. Pleasant staff and a central location. The best part was the chandelier in my bedroom which had very high ceilings. So high the chandelier was easily taller than me! There was torrential rain the evening I arrived and there were not enough umbrellas... More

Outstanding hotel. Excellent service, beautiful large room with balcony. Location is central and right on the across from the Vienna State Opera House, perfect for sightseeing. Across from the subway and main pedestrian walking avenues and close to most museums, restaurants, and shops.

I recently had a business trip to Vienna. My wife and I decided to extend the trip and have her come over for the week afterward. To make the most of the visit we used her Starwood Platinum points and had a week here at the Hotel Bristol. Using extra points we opted for the Junior Suite (large room, private... More

I come about three to four time a year to Vienna, and try to stay in the Bristol as often as possible. I usually have a small room on one of the upper floors with a view of the Opera house that is just across the street. The rooms are different, some are more in the old traditional stile, some... Dear Guest, Thank you for your honest feedback. The Hotel Bristol is indeed a very classical hotel, but when it comes to our guest rooms we have different styles – for example the newly renovated ones have a more modern look and feel – they resemble in art déco style. Maybe you like to try one of those next time... More

We stayed during winter and had the most amazing newly furbished room. The view from the room did suck though. Hotel bar was typical Viennese smoking bar. Hotel is close to the opera and shopping areas.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
