One of the most beautiful hotel we've stayed at. We got upgraded to the Opera Suite w/ a separate living room and a wonderful view of the Opera House. The bed was super comfortable w/ the perfect firmness. The staff were really helpful. The only down side would be that there is no free internet. more

Overall, an excellent experience at the Bristol. After three Marriott Brand hotels, my husband found the decor too ornate. However, throughout, there were fabulous antiques and paintings. This hotel really made the trip. My wife and I loved everything about this hotel - the location, ambiance, and service. The hotel is situated at a prime location, by the opera house. And the rooms were so elegant and classic - the decor was just absolutely beautiful. It might be a little pricier, but it was definitely worth it.... more

The Hotel Bristol is a must stay. We stayed with our two college age daughters. Our rooms were beautifully appointed, unbelievable museum quality furniture. Black out shades for light, excellent bedding. We had two bathrooms in our room, one for guests and one for us. It is a historic hotel. The title says it all... the hotel bristol is right across the street from the opera house and right next to main part of town. The room was beautiful - marble everywhere, comfy beds, these wooden shades that came down from the ceiling, and a big spacious bathroom. The paper was at our door every morning. An all around wonderful experience at the Bristol. We travel a lot throughout Europe and rooms are usually much smaller than here in the US, but the rooms at the Bristol were large and airy yet still maintained a comfortable homey feel. Our room, though the smaller of the deluxe level, was beautifully decorated, clean and quite, but was not up to the 5 star standard it should be. Details are what tell the story. Our five nights at the Bristol were a wonderful experience. Location is the best in VIenna and the rooms were lovely. We had occasion to use the business center often and found it convenient -- free service with fresh fruit and cold mineral water. We would definitely stay again on another trip to Vienna. more

Once one get beyond the now tacky exterior facade the Bristol remains a fine, old fashioned and well run Viennese hotel. The central location across from the Opera is hard to beat.
