Don't miss out on their breakfast. The best omelette I've ever had! The desserts are decadent. The rooms are lovely, elegant. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I can't think of one negative about The Imperial.

The location of the hotel is perfect. The staff was very friendly! A special thanks to the concierge Florian Rünzi for his excellent service. He was great, and it felt like he genuinely cared about doing the best for us.

First class in every dimension. Initial greeting, front desk service, grand foyer, a feel of luxury without being over pushy, and a genuine sense of what a world class hotel should represent. Room was spacious with an alcove nook, sufficient space and lounging area. Very clean and housekeeping was timely. The Butler service provides great service and is available on... More

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Luxurious, great service. Loved the piano bar. Close to the opera. Reception staff were very helpful after our flight had been cancelled. Can't wait to return.

Stayed here two times. Both times had exemplarary service.Wonderful rooms. First visit standard room, second visit upgraded to suite. Rooms were generous and everything was in working order. Due to age we thought that rooms/bathrooms may be a bit tired and dog eaten but rooms were spotless. Staff were impeccable, very knowledgeable and helpful Lovely intimate resturant good food. Old... We stayed here for a 3-night weekend break and the hotel is absolutely excellent. It's a grand old lady, so it may not necessarily have all the high tech amenities of a more modern hotel....but in this place you truly step back in time. They take really good care of their SPG members and got a very nice traditional suite.... More

Sheer beauty: the reception, the bar, the corridors and the rooms are all of the highest quality and a credit to a beautiful city. Simply stunning. The cafe is a little disappointing and we found the service variable, but these are minor comments in comparison to the beauty of the hotel. The internet is a different story - you get... More

We spent three nights at this gracious hotel. As SPG members, we were upgraded to a spacious suite, where we were provided with fresh fruit and chocolates nightly. The beautiful bar with live music was an added treat. This is truly a palace, and we look forward to returning.

One of my favorite SPG properties - booked this hotel because it was on T+L World's Best Hotels List and was really glad I did. We stayed here for a weekend getaway and it made our weekend. The rooms are old world grandeur, decor reminiscent of imperial apartment tours. The Lobby is fabulous and the style marries old world and... More

We had two lovely visits to the beautiful bar at the Imperial Hotel in Vienna. Thanks to the wonderful Herr Brunner we enjoyed super cocktails and excellent service. A special mention to the very entertaining pianist.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
