The Rolling Stones and The Queen stay here so that says it all. The rooms are good sized. We even had a changing room. Large shower and tub. AC worked well which is good considering it was 100 when we were there. Fitness Room is not much, Beds are very comfortable and the chocolate at night was excellent. One bad... More

The hotel location is ideal for me as it's so close to Musikverein. It's beautifully decorated throughout and the service is flawless - highly professional but remains warm and welcoming. Check in and out was fast and smooth. The bathroom was very compact but then again, I wasn't planning to spend lots of time in there. I'd recommend this hotel... More

this was one of the more spectacular hotels that i stayed at. it started out wrong because the hotel couldn't find my reservation and we argued about that despite me showing them all the booking numbers from starwood. eventually, problem solved and we were guided to our room. it was so huge with high ceiling and a balcony. we felt... Really enjoyed staying in this historic hotel. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Hotel is perfectly located to see Vienna and easy walking distance to many sites (and very close enough to public transportation). Rooms are nice, but the bathrooms feel cramped and the air conditioning did not flow into the bathrooms. Main reason I didn't give it five stars... More

A very welcoming staff accompanied with a welcoming lobby. Our check-in was fast, and we were quickly escorted into our room. Our room was very spacious, perfectly clean, and well equipped. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, and is walking distance away from the main attractions.

I have stayed at the Imperial before; during the previous stays, everything was all very good except the breakfast which was a bit disappointing. Apparently, they have renovated the Imperial Café and this time it was great, the Café is now more spacious and the breakfast selection was excellent. I had dinner in the restaurant and it was a relaxed... More

Beautiful property - we were in the Elisabeth suite, which also featured a butler service. This was what was the only real disappointment of the 5 night stay. The butler's didn't seem to be around or available at most times. It said 24 hour butler service, but when we got there it turns out it is only until 11 PM.... More

Stayed here for our Silver Wedding in blistering heat! Our huge air conditioned room was a haven after busy days sightseeing. ( we were upgraded) Beautifully furnished in traditional Viennese style . Loved the walk in wardrobe/dressing room and the double washbasin in the bathroom. Despite overlooking the main Ringstrasse the room was very quiet. The lobby and staircase in... More

Hotel Imperial Although I've been there for only one night, but my experience was amazing. Love everything there.. Starting from the reception and ending in the gorgeous room. Hot welcomes from the staff let you feel home. The great decorations of the hotel let you feel that you really live in an imperial palace. I like how they consider every... More

We were the fortunate travelers who had to relocate from the Ritz Carlton to the Hotel Imperial during a Tauck River Cruise. One word to describe this hotel: fabulous. It is old-world luxury. Our room was beautiful, and we had a great view. It is in a wonderful location, just quick walks from everything you wish to see in Vienna.... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
