Withing walking distance of the museum quater and Westbahnhoff. Communal facilities posed no problem and the rooms were spotless. Quiet too which was appreciated. The breakfast was excellent as were the miniature easter eggs very much appreciated overall very good value

We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. The room was nice, clean and offered everything we needed (even bathrobes). The common room looked comfortable, though I cannot tell anything about the atmosphere since we didn't spent any time in there. The building itself is very big so it felt very empty and rather cold. It is located close... More

Perfect staff ever. Very good location. Very close to metro/subway. Rooms and wi-fi are perfect. Breakfast excellent. Hostel is quite silent which is very good for tired tourists who want to sleep well. It has a smoking area in the garden. Definitely recommended.

Good choice for a relatively budget traveller in an overpriced city. Clean tidy and comfortable and a good nights sleep. Breakfast is good a little pricey at 8 euros but this is matched by local cafes.

We stayed for one night in a private room for 2 with its own wash basin (toilets and showers were shared). Room was quite big and nice, with a view to the street. It was quite noisy at night and you can hear everything from other rooms and a hall, especially water and doors. It was also very hot during... More

Dear guest, Thank you very much for valuing your stay at Hostel & Guesthouse Kaiser 23. We are very sorry that we didn’t measure up your expectations completely. In my pillow live bugs, so I can't say that it is good hostel. And also they have church in this building, it's strange. Wifi is good. Toilets is clean. Near to bus station. Far from city centre. No supermarket near to hostel, only billa five minutes by foot.

The hostel has a perfect location five minutes away from the Westbahnhof (metro, trams, buses), small cafes, pubs, shops and the number 5 tram stopping directly outside!! Friendly and helpful receptionists with a great command of English. The rooms are very clean and large with beautiful and comfortable beds. Toilets and showers are shared but very clean in all areas.... More

We stayed 3 nights. The staff is very friendly. Rooms, bathroom, and showers are kept very clean! The breakfast for 8 € is great with eggs and good coffee. The common room is cozy with access to a computer and sat tv. Wifi access was good. The tram stops right in front of the building and many restaurants are stone... More

I and a friend stayed here in a twin room on a Saturday night in October 2014. It was a within 5 minutes walking distance from the nearest subway station. I was delighted to find the room very clean, quiet (although street facing), and stocked with bath towel. Since I forgot to bring my travel adapter, it was another delight... More

I only stayed for one night after arriving late at night from the train station. It was safe enough to walk to and find. A lady was available to help me check in and give me some information. I had a private room with sink and shared bathroom. It was clean and spacious with a robe and towels provided. There... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
