A great location close to the Opera and other major attractions in Vienna. Nice clean rooms and very helpful staff. Some street noise for rooms fronting the street, but not bad since it is in the pedestrian area (at the end of street access). They provided earplugs if you need them. Breakfast was good.

We stayed 3 nights in May and were amazed at the location. We arrived by car with no problem getting to the hotel, unloading, and parking in the garage 2 blocks away. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good as well. Our room was fairly small, especially the bathroom, but the location makes it... More

We spent 5 night in May and were very happy. The staff is gracious and accommodating and the outside of the hotel is picturesque. I probably would not stay here in the summer since I am American and AC is god. We threw open the windows and it was fine. Typical small European hotel. It's all about location, location and... This gem of a hotel is located in an ideal spot for touring Vienna's Old City Centre. Small, quaint hotel with nice staff. Breakfast buffet was included and was very nice. Rooms were clean, bathrooms were modern, rather tight, but manageable. Once again, location was great, easy to walk to sights and train.

This is about as perfect a place as you can find for touring Vienna. Just blocks from the Opera, the Museums, the Hofburg Palace, the Stephensdom area. On a pedestrian street of stores and restaurants. Down the block from the Hotel Sacher. And the price with breakfast is quite reasonable, and it’s one of the few with breakfast included. The... The hotel is located in the very center of Vienna, very close to the Opera and 5 minutes walk from Stephan Platz, still very quite. Trams, buses and metro stations all very close. The staff is very friendly. In spite of being an old building the facility is relatively well maintained and very clean (the rooms and the breakfast room).... More

The location of this hotel couldn't possibly be better, easy walking distance to everything. The rooms extremely comfortable and the buffet breakfast excellent. The personnel were friendly and very helpful with all enquiries and bookings. I confidently recommend this hotel for your stay in Vienna.

The location is superb. My friend and I walked everywhere and we are not young. Very good breakfast buffet included. All the people as the front desk and the breakfast staff are helpful, friendly and warm. After 6 nights I felt like I was leaving friends when I checked out. My single was like a ship's cabin--spotless but very small.... More

Not only this hotel has one of the best locations and good prices for that, but also the personal is very pleasant and helpful. It also serves a very generous breakfast with several kind of cheese, ham, pickles, jams, yogurts, juices and fruits. We've been there on Christmas and got lovely and generous presents when we got back to room... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
