Stayed here 3 nights on a short Vienna visit. Very convenient to all sights, walk to everything, including good local restaurants. Personnel very nice & helpful, speak English. Good breakfast included of meats, cheeses, eggs, fruit & cereal. Rooms quiet, clean & comfortable. Highly recommended.

The location is superb. My friend and I walked everywhere and we are not young. Very good breakfast buffet included. All the people as the front desk and the breakfast staff are helpful, friendly and warm. After 6 nights I felt like I was leaving friends when I checked out. My single was like a ship's cabin--spotless but very small.... More

Not only this hotel has one of the best locations and good prices for that, but also the personal is very pleasant and helpful. It also serves a very generous breakfast with several kind of cheese, ham, pickles, jams, yogurts, juices and fruits. We've been there on Christmas and got lovely and generous presents when we got back to room... More

Couldn't get a better location to visit Vienna. Absolutely fantastic! We stayed in a triple room and indeed the room size and bathroom were small, however we didn't spend much time there. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is located on a quiet side street very close to the Albertina, Opera House and Pedestrian Walk. It is a very short walk to the Kalsplatz metro. All the downtown sights are very close - Imperial Apartments, St. Stephens, etc. The staff was very helpful and professional. Both ladies who worked the... More

This hotel was in a perfect location:a fairly quiet street near the Opera and one block off the Kartner Strasse. And it's facade and public areas exude old world charm. The breakfast was decent and the staff was helpful and professional. The rooms were very small and the furnishings were vintage 1980's and starting to show the worse for wear.... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a European hotel for sure, small rooms, tiny bathroom, but full of charm and coziness. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely helpful. The location is excellent - one block from the opera which makes it easy to walk anywhere on the city.

Absolurtely comfortable hotel and very cosy rooms, very kind and hospitality staff, home made breakfast, perfect location in the middle of the city for not so high remuneration. All main sights in walk accessibility. Hotel's review book was commenced in 1984 - was gratefully impressed and made favorable review. Bathrooms a little bit small, but it is not so important.

When booking a room here, my friend and I explained we would need a cot in addition to the two single beds, as we would be visited by a friend. Luckily for us that friend didn't make it, as the room was so small we could hardly walk around the beds without banging into something. No idea where a cot... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
