We spent a week at the Kaerntnerhof and enjoyed every minute. This boutique hotel is set in a 19th century building and it's history is felt everywhere. If only walls could speak as after WW2 it was a brothel for a few years! It is reasonably priced, brilliantly located in the centre of the old town and close to most... More

The Hotel Kärntnerhof is within walking distance to a number of Vienna's major attractions and some truly great restaurants, and it is located on a quiet side street. Members of the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are well serviced and clean. As part of the room rate, wifi and breakfast are provided. The only negative was the... More

Just back from our stay in Vienna at the Hotel Kaerntnerhof. Customer service from the staff including front desk, cleaners and kitchen staff was impeccable. Desk staff members were consistently knowledgable and patient with our numerous needs for information and directions. They arranged for our every need from car service to and from the airport to calling ahead to our... More

We arrived early in the morning from a sleeper train, and were invited to have breakfast while our room was prepared, and it was available by the time we'd finished breakfast. Our room was elegantly decorated, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. There is also a pretty roof garden, which must be lovely in Spring and summer. Tea making would have... More

I stayed in this hotel for a week and have just positive feedbacks. The staff is very helpful, everybody speaks English (and they don't 'hesistate' to speak it!). Rooms are always clean by the time you come back. It's located in the narrow corner off the main street, so it's very quiet! The location is amazing, just a couple of... More

The location is just perfect! The standard rooms are what you would expect from a decent 3 star hotel, but the interior is a bit more designed than the usual. It is very cozy, the room was well equipped (no minibars). The breakfast was nice and with a huge variety of food. Rooms were nice and tidy. The hotel can... More

This hotel is fantastically positioned a 2/3 min walk from stehansplatz but in a small cul de sac, therefore extremely quiet. Staff excellent. Rooms -twin (medium size) we stayed in were lovely decor, spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast buffet style, excellent choice for continental, fruit, breads, cereals, yogurts, meats, cheeses, eggs, bacon and sausages. Highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and loved the historic ambience. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms don't have a lot of toiletries and the TV only had one English Channel (CNN) but neither of these things bothered us. The location is excellent - the hotel is a 5 minute walk from St Stephens Cathedral in the... More

Perfect central location. Very polite and knowledgeable reception staff. Simple, small, clean rooms. Good breakfast. Decently priced. 15 min on foot from Landstrasse CAT station. On the negatives, some rooms are too small and not at all functional.. And the beds are pretty awful. Pity they spoil the overall effort.
