We spent a week in Vienna and this hotel is great. The location is excellent in the middle of the historic section of town. The breakfast, included in the room rate, is quite extensive, very tasty, and you can order hot, freshly prepared and cooked dishes from a short menu to accompany the buffet. The staff is very attentive, knowledgeable... More

We returned to this hotel after a first visit 30 years earlier in the autumn of 1985. It was a special place then and still is - a charming old hotel right next to the Stephansdom and to the building where Mozart lived when he wrote 'The Marriage of Figaro' and within easy walking distance of all the many other... I stayed at the Konig von Ungarn with three friends in mid May. This was my second stay. My first was in 1985 and I thought the hotel was superb then. Well, things haven't changed. Our accommodations were beautiful and the hotel has retained it's exquisite charm. It is steps from St.Stephen's Church and conveniently located near all the major... More

The hotel has great location, few minutes walking from anywhere in the old city (Mozart's house in the back of the hotel). The room was big and very clean, the service was very sensitive and fast. Breakfast is good and diversified, lovely atmosphere at the restaurant at night.

Excellent family suite. The hotel is in a great location and the service is very friendly. One block away from St. Stephen's Church. The included breakfast is included and the rooms are clean. Very happy with everything.

Stayed here in July 2015 in the tremendous heatwave that seemed to break all records in Vienna. The air con in our room was fantastic and a real relief from the heat of the city. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need, breakfast had good options both hot and cold. A perfect location and a well run hotel.

We travelled early July, stayed two nights in a two levels apartment as we had our two kids with us. The apartment was a bit old style, but bathroom amenities were very nice. The style of the hotel, which is one of the oldest in Vienna, is very nice, the bar has natural light from a glass ceiling. Breakfast was... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in early July. The room was spacious enough for an extra bed. The decor was lovely and the breakfast was varied and delicious. The front desk gave us a great recommendation to a local spa for massages. We were very pleased and would return to this hotel.

My husband, teenage son, and I stayed at this lovely hotel this past Christmas. (Yes, I am very late in submitting this review.) We arrived on Dec 22 and stayed for four nights. Our room was perfect for us... we had a maisonette on the third floor of the hotel and it was very quiet. In this particular room, there's... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
