We stayed at Pension Vitis for 4 nights in mid-May. Karl is a congenial host who met us at the train station, and gave us very helpful suggestions for getting around Vienna and tourist attractions. He kindly arranged for transit passes to purchase. The B&B is located off the central zone of Vienna, however, a 10 minute bus ride connects... More

We were at Pension Vitis from 9 to 12, July 2013. It is not luxurious, but cozy; a simple bed, with good linen and mattress, very comfortable plus an adequate and very delicious breakfast for daily activities. Got a package for 3 days with transfer and two Vienna Passes for those days. Karl, the owner, is a very kind and... More

Great little place. Good amount of space, nice little kitchen, nice pattio area outside to chill, good location and very helpful/friendly owner. Highly recomended for couples, backpackers and those that like a "local feel" while traveling.

Karl was really so nice. I cannot help but to say, this is a great place to stay in Vienna. Karl was a good host and really helpful for us. He told us where we could find out the station to downtown and even helped us in finding some cheaper stores. When we were leaving for Salzburg and Hallstatt, he... More

I just returned from a week in Vienna where I stayed at Pension Vitis. I made the choice after a considerable amount of time reading past reviews on TripAdvisor. All of the accolades that Karl has received are well earned. From the moment I first contacted him, was extremely responsive by providing warm, detailed answers to all my questions. He... More

Karl picked us up at the train station and made us feel comfortable by explaining everything in detail and offering dining and sightseeing suggestions. The breakfast served in our room was more than adequate. The room was spotless, comfortable and quiet, and also close to all public transportation. A nearby recommended restaurant was also great. When we left, Karl drove... More

Karl, His wife and facilities with their kindness, direction and concern made us feel like one of the family. We also stayed at many high end hotels however if it was possible to have carried Karl, his home (an apartment) and concern with us to the other cities of Europe we would have enthusiastically embraced it. The morning breakfasts brought... More

We stayed here 3 nights in March on our way home from Croatia. Karl is the pinnacle of efficiency and the room was immaculately clean. Traditional Austrian continental breakfast was fine for us. It is easy to get around town from here and a couple of good inexpensive restaurants are close by. A very good value. Highly recommended.
