This was a great hotel! It takes only 10-15 minutes to walk to the center of the city where all the sightseeing is located. The hotel has a high standard and the interior looks newly renovated and is very neat and clean. I was very happy with the rooms, which are also very nice and spacious. The use of the... More

We stayed at the Imlauer for 2 nights after discovering it on TA. Modern, bright, with a great overall vibe, this hotel is excellent value for money. A good sized room (by European standards) with all amenities and a very nice bathroom. Well situated with a 5 minute walk to Nestroyplatz underground/metro station (2 stops to Stephanplatz which is the... More

I don't really know where to start from with this hotel. Welcomed by an empty desk, having to call several times to open the garage because the front desk was often unattended, no change in bed sheets for any of the 4 nights spent; refill of the minibar? only on request. Room service? TERRIBLE and the tray stayed on the... More

We stayed in the hotel for Easter holiday and we felt very comfortable. The Hotel is close to the public transport and placed in a quiet area. In the surrounding there are several bar to take breakfast because the price in the hotel is a bit expensive . The staff are very kind and helpful. I really recommend it.

This hotel is well located, clean, and quiet - ideal for a weekend stay. It's easy to get to via public transport from the airport, walking distance to the city centre (about 15 minutes,) and also near a stop for the hop on-hop off tourist buses. The only criticism is the ridiculously expensive breakfast - perhaps that's an unfair comment,... More

For my wife and I, this was our 4th visit to Vienna in 3 years. This year we decided to try a different hotel from the one in which we had previously stayed (Holiday Inn). The previous hotel was comfortable and friendly, so it was a big decision to try a different part of town. Our stay was a full... More

The hotel has good location. It is very close to tube tabostrausbe, and has SPAR supermarket and Bakery nearby. Tabostrausbe tube has lift and escalators, thus well fit for those who have luggage and don't want to walk much. The hotel is newly furnished, look modern and clean. Staffs are nice and friendly.

We stayed here on a city break deal. We found the hotel easy to navigate to from the airport and its an easy walk with your suitcase from the metro. The hotel is also located a pleasant easy walk from the bustling centre. Being located away from the hustle of the centre was actually really nice from our point of... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
