We booked a package through Hotels.com for our travels in Europe, and arrived at the Imlauer in Vienna after a lovely time in Prague with a wonderful hotel experience. When we arrived at the hotel for check in, we were ignored for a good 5-10 minutes while they were talking. Once we were acknowledged the girl who was trying to... More

We really had a good time staying at this hotel. The room was quite small but it worked well for us. It is very close to a metro station so it was never a problem to go to the main area. We can even walk there in about 10-15 minutes. The service was good, they even helped us to print... More

There are good things about this hotel: the prize is low and for that prize location is good. Walking distance to the main streets. The wi-fi worked. The room we stayed in was quite large and there is a roof terass where you can have your coffee on a sunny day. Despite this, I would not stay again and would... More

We stayed here for 5 days and it was great. The service was good, the room was spacious (except for the closet, it was tiny), the betts were good, the safe was easy to use, the bathroom was big and everything was clean. The sauna is big enough for 6 – 8 people, so is the resting room. There are... More

This was a great hotel! It takes only 10-15 minutes to walk to the center of the city where all the sightseeing is located. The hotel has a high standard and the interior looks newly renovated and is very neat and clean. I was very happy with the rooms, which are also very nice and spacious. The use of the... More

We stayed at the Imlauer for 2 nights after discovering it on TA. Modern, bright, with a great overall vibe, this hotel is excellent value for money. A good sized room (by European standards) with all amenities and a very nice bathroom. Well situated with a 5 minute walk to Nestroyplatz underground/metro station (2 stops to Stephanplatz which is the... More

I don't really know where to start from with this hotel. Welcomed by an empty desk, having to call several times to open the garage because the front desk was often unattended, no change in bed sheets for any of the 4 nights spent; refill of the minibar? only on request. Room service? TERRIBLE and the tray stayed on the... More

Dear value guest, thank you very much for your review and thank you for choosing our Hotel for your stay in Vienna. Actually our reception-desk is occupied 24hours – it might get busy some times, but we do our very best in order to avoid any waiting times for all our guests. Regarding the change of the bed sheets, my... More

We stayed in the hotel for Easter holiday and we felt very comfortable. The Hotel is close to the public transport and placed in a quiet area. In the surrounding there are several bar to take breakfast because the price in the hotel is a bit expensive . The staff are very kind and helpful. I really recommend it.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
