Apartment itself was fine, bathroom obviously newly rennovated and kitchen. Kitchen well equipped but very dark. Good location, with U-bahn right there and close walk to city center. Service from the people at the management company for the apartment, however, was terrible. I did not realize the apartment was completely self-service and did not receive an e-mail with the code... Loved the place since it was very near to the U Bahn plus very near to the city center. This U Bahn Schottering was directly connected to the Schloss Schoenbrunn. This saved us lot of time. The apartment was very neat and clean and had a good equipped kitchenet. WE stayed with our whole family and we loved the space... More

Stayed in 2 apartments (Sophie - 1st floor and Marie - 2nd floor) July 2015 All the previous reviews are correct, These are charming, well equipped apartments, in a very convenient location. They have everything you need - except perhaps a lift and air conditioning. But if you can do without that - this is a lovely place to stay.... More

Family of five stayed on the top floor. The apartment was very spacious. Although it was quite a hike to the top with suitcases the nice apartment and the location made it worth it. No need to pay first district prices as you can walk to the first district in ten minutes. We used the underground which is located steps... More

We were a group of 10 staying in 3 apartments here (top 2 and first floor). Kitted out with everything you need with an elegant charm. Ideally situated - short walk into town and right next to Schottenring U bahn. Owner/manager Sonja was extremely helpful with her suggestions. Loved this place and would go back. Yes you have to walk... More

Loved this apartment. One of our favourite places on our 6 week tour of Europe. Very roomy and comfortable accommodation for husband and I and our daughter in a 2 bedroom apartment. Convenience of a dishwasher and washing machine and the location was sensational. Across the road from the train station or across the bridge into Vienna's main centre. Walk... More

We stayed in apartment "Valerie" in may and were very impressed. Our apartment was very roomy and extremely comfortable, and came with it's own courtyard !!! The proximity to everything was fantastic and the owners very approachable to help in any way. We strongly recommend people use this accommodation for their stay in Vienna. Position to underground train system is only minute to the entrance, whilst Central Vienna is a pleasant 10 minute walk along the canal. The area is residential lacking in restaurants but has some basic cafes that people freely smoke in. A supermarket is 5 minutes walk away. Apartment Marie is on the second floor, so there are quite a few... More

Just back from a 3 day stay in Vienna, amazing time and to mirror the comments of other reviews these apartments are highly recommended. From the friendly email communications with Sonja to having everything we needed in the apartment. Have absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay here again. We were in Elisabeth which is on the top floor so... More

We (my brother and I who are in our early twenties, along with our parents) stayed in here early January and had a fantastic time! The apartment felt very homely and was decorated in Art Deco style. We all had plenty of space and the facilities (including washing machine, good hair dryer and dish washer) were great. The location was... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
