I stayed in this hotel one night and the room was okay but I asked one woman reception worker to call taxi on 1.7.2015 at 11.30 0´clock but she did not call and she said that I cannot call taxi. She was maybe Turkish. I was obligated to go outside to seek for telephone and she did not answer me... More

I was in this hotel since yesterday and I was planning to go to holiday apartment because worker in this hotel said yesterday it's full today. The hotel has been fine but I gone to reception today morning for asking if I could call the owner of the apartment and I thought that worker she would say yes but she... More

This was an excellent choice for what we required, clean, tidy, helpful staff and our room was quite and well laid out. Also the choice of food and drinks for breakfast was good. The location was close to transport, restaurants, shops, night markets and if you don't mind a bit of exercise, within easy walking distance to the palaces, museums,... More

We stayed 3 nights in this great hotel. The reception was good on arrival the rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The location meant we could walk everywhere close to the great market held every day except Sunday and it also includes restaurants. Highly recommended

I can't say we were totally satisfied by the services the hotel provided but the main reasons to recommend it is its price and its position near the metro station. It is considered cheap for Vienna city, breakfast was fine, we had free wifi access and the 24h open reception was surely a plus. For me, the main problem was... More

We stayed 4 nights. I was doubtful at first considering the price we paid. We paid for an "economy" room which means it is in the old building. To me, neither the building nor room looked old! Basic but good size room. Nice cafes nearby, and Nachmarkt is within walking distance. We even walked to the State Opera House. The... More

We visited Kolpinghaus Wien-Zentral for 3 nights. The hotel is located in a really good area close to the center, the museums and the opera. It is a really nice place for the money you spend and it is also used as a dormitory for the university I think. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable and quite clean (some... More

Great location, around 10 min walk to Opera house and Museum Quarter. Also has underground parking for 15 euros a day, so it's very convenient. Excellent breakfast selection, but WiFi works kinda slow.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
