My wife, two friends and myself recently spent three nights at the Kolpinghaus in Vienna. The location, five minutes walk from the Naschmarkt and the U-Bahn and about 15 minutes the the Hofburg and the Ringstrasse, was hard to beat. Very close by are some cheap, good eats and at least one classic Cafe (Cafe Sperl). The rooms and the... More

Nice basic accommodation, wouldn't say it was flash but clean and comfortable, I was staying in Vienna for 4 nights on a quick stop over, wasn't the cheapest but this is Vienna and there is a lot more much more expensive accommodation available, I think price was pretty reasonable. My flight got in at 5am and the staff were happy... More

While essentially there was nothing wrong with the accommodation we had it was not my cup of tea, and I would not recommend this hotel to others. The hotel feels like it may have once been a hospital which has now been converted to a hotel, not a bad idea, but if you are converting a hospital to a hotel... More

Stay here if you are not looking for luxe but for pure functional facilities. Breakfast buffet is quite limited. Its location is also a bit awkward since you need 2 subway connections to the center (stephanplatz)

I've been to this hotel this weekend and this was probably my worst ever experience. The hotel looks like hybrid between detention centre and care home equipped awful cheap furniture, all plastic. The apartments are empty, no kitchen equipment, although in bookings.com they advertise it's available against deposit of 100€!!! there is not mentioned they charge another 10€ as fee... More

During our 3-day/2-night trip to Vienna this hotel served as the starting point for our day-long excursions to the sights of the city - and by being in 2-min walking distance to one of the subway lines and the Naschmarkt, one short bus ride away from the Ring and 3 minutes away from Mariahilfer strasse on foot, it served its... It looks more like a student residence than a hotel but we were really satisfied with it. It was really cheap and it has all the facilities we needed: breakfast is great (maybe the buffet is a bit small for the quantity of people than can be on the hotel, so you have to wait to take your breakfast, but... The hotel is situated very close to the center. We were twice there: the first time we had a room that was actually a student room, prety far from the reception, in a side wing. This room was not very nice, although the furniture was new. The second time we received a (normal) room uppon the reception. Thisone realy felt... More

i stayed two times here. in the summer it's not too recommended because of the lack of aircon and fridge, so you cannot keep in room cold water. the staff is friendly, and the hotel is clean, but it's like a hospital. the breakfast is fair. no scrambled eggs, only boiled. free wireless, good for visiting the downtown area of... Location is perfect - close to everything. If you are a shopper, then this place is for you. Mariahilfer straße is 300 metres from the hotel. Rooms might be quite warm/hot in summer. Because you are next to a busy road, there is quite a lot noise from the traffic coming in.
