The hotel is very comfortable, the breakfast is hearty and made of natural products, the rooms are large and even the bathroom, cleaning is daily and towel change every two days. At the reception are very nice and friendly and bright colors are everywhere make good mood. The metro station is 200 meters and the Museums Quarter 5 minutes walk,... More

The location was so great, a block from the subway station and easy 10 minute walk to the main part of the city (even closer to a large shopping street and museums). There are plenty of tasty restaurants and cafes very close by as well. The room is basic but very comfortable and functional, the bed was especially. Bathroom, super... More

Hotel place is really good. Very close to U4 metro station. Clean, friendly staff. Next door is a big supermarket. U can reach anywhere in city in 15-20 minutes. Breakfast is good. We enjoyed our stay.

Good: room was clean and also cleaned on a daily basis. Breakfast buffet was good - large variety. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Museum Quartier and a 2 minute walk to the metro station. Good value for money. Bad: no aircon, only a fan. Not enough electrical outlets in the room.

the hotel was pretty good. the breakfast was rich, the location was awesome near to main attractions and metro stations. the only drawback was that we did not have a fridge so that we can keep our water cool.

We stayed in Kolping for 5 nights, an excellent place to be. Fairly central, good value, fabulous breakfasts, quiet rooms, clean, neat and welcoming. It was an excellent base for us and provided good rest each night. Yes it isn't a smart hotel, so don't expect air conditioning, English Language TV or other mod cons. The only thing that I... More

we had a great time there. the hotel is very near to the centre and shops. the room was cleaned every day. the breakfast was diverse and very tasty. if you take a room facing the city it s a bit noisy due to traffic. the room had a ventilator so the heat was bearable.

I stayed in this hotel one night and the room was okay but I asked one woman reception worker to call taxi on 1.7.2015 at 11.30 0´clock but she did not call and she said that I cannot call taxi. She was maybe Turkish. I was obligated to go outside to seek for telephone and she did not answer me... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
