During our 3-day/2-night trip to Vienna this hotel served as the starting point for our day-long excursions to the sights of the city - and by being in 2-min walking distance to one of the subway lines and the Naschmarkt, one short bus ride away from the Ring and 3 minutes away from Mariahilfer strasse on foot, it served its... It looks more like a student residence than a hotel but we were really satisfied with it. It was really cheap and it has all the facilities we needed: breakfast is great (maybe the buffet is a bit small for the quantity of people than can be on the hotel, so you have to wait to take your breakfast, but... The hotel is situated very close to the center. We were twice there: the first time we had a room that was actually a student room, prety far from the reception, in a side wing. This room was not very nice, although the furniture was new. The second time we received a (normal) room uppon the reception. Thisone realy felt... More

i stayed two times here. in the summer it's not too recommended because of the lack of aircon and fridge, so you cannot keep in room cold water. the staff is friendly, and the hotel is clean, but it's like a hospital. the breakfast is fair. no scrambled eggs, only boiled. free wireless, good for visiting the downtown area of... Location is perfect - close to everything. If you are a shopper, then this place is for you. Mariahilfer straße is 300 metres from the hotel. Rooms might be quite warm/hot in summer. Because you are next to a busy road, there is quite a lot noise from the traffic coming in.

Amongst the amazing architecture of central Vienna the Hotel Kolping stands out by colour and design. Ideally situated within walking distance of the centre and many of the sites, also close to the Nachtmarkt, it also has easy access to Viennas amazing and affordable integrated public transport system. The hotel pays special attention to accessibility issues, provides a reasonable buffet... More

It's clean, but otherwise it looks, feels, and has service like a hostel. It has a good location, but aside from that I wouldn't want to stay here again unless I was on an extreme budget. Rooms look like my college dorm.

The hotel is really only 5 minutes from the underground station KettenBruckenGasse and was very easy to reach from airport. The personnel very efficient and polite, the lady from the reception let us to choose the floor and we had an early check in (at 10.00). The room was relatively small, with very simple but very functional furniture, the space... More

This place is okay, the rooms are clean and comfortable enough - basic but fine for our one night stay. Breakfast is also okay. It's close to a train station which was good for getting in to the city centre. Place feels secure. Probably wouldn't stay more than one or two nights here though, it feels more like a hostel...
