We stayed here just for one night during the Bregenzer Festspiele (which I can highly recommend). We were somewhat late in our planning so that meant that a) we couldn't find anything closer to the center of Bregenz and b) we paid a lot (for us) for what we could find.

That said, the Hotel Schwarzler is top notch. Very nice facilities and clean and spacious rooms. The bathroom, in fact, is actually too big. It is almost as large as the room... you could have a party in there! The breakfast buffet was one of the nicer ones we've experienced. Our large dog was warmly welcomed. There is a bike path and bus stop virtually outside the door.

If we were to return to Bregenz, I'd probably shoot for something a little closer to the center, but I would have no qualms about staying at Hotel Schwarzler again. more
