Three couples stayed at the Pension for one night. The rooms were clean and affordable. We chose not to pay for the breakfast, but to do breakfast on our own. If you are a hiker, there is a trail right behind the Pension. If you want to travel into Innsbruck, you can use a local bus or a "subway" that... More

Huge portions of low quality food. My schnitzel was fried after fish so imagine the taste :(. The location was full of bees and I find it hard to eat and fight with them at the same time. The service was less than poor. We waited a lot for the food and for paying. I haven't experienced worse in my... More

Take the funicular (entrance next to the palace and across from the gardens) to the end. At the top after you take in the view, walk to the cable car and directly next to it is the pension Alpina with a large covered patio. An excellent place to catch a breeze and have a beer and something to eat. We... More

Like everything! The reception was wonderful, even with the difficulty of languages. Comfortable and very clean, and to further improve the family that touches the hotel's Italian restaurant, is very friendly as well as speak Italian, which we speak, which greatly facilitated our stay.

We visited the Alpina on 2 early afternoons after our snowy hikes. First impressions were that it only had Smoking eating areas, but thankfully tucked around the back was a large empty non-smoking room. Food was typical fayre, the Wiener Schnitzel was huge, really too big, the Gulasch soup was really filling and good value. Recommended for the nothing fancy... More
