We stayed there for two nights. It is well situated in the city and it has free parking what is rare to find. It's one of few hotels that offer three bed rooms. Rooms are very basic - the furniture is not so new but everything is very clean. The only problem with the room was that it overlooked the... More

We stayed here 3 nights for a conference. The decor is undoubtedly tired - there was a definite early 1990s vibe to it. That said, both room and bathroom were very clean. Beds were quite narrow but I found mine very comfy and again, super clean bedding. The rooms are large and airy with plenty of storage space. The bathroom... More

The room felt like a university hall of residence, only bigger and cleaner. The bathroom was similarly clean and functional. Breakfast and secure parking were included in the price which was excellent value considering the central location. I arrived very late and found the attitude of the staff to be welcoming and professional which left a good impression. I only... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise and the staff were very helpful. There was transport by tram out the front of the hotel every 10-15 mins. We found it easy to get to the CBD or train station. Free Wi-Fi also

Very satisfied to stay in this hotel - the rooms are large and clean and the breakfast is good and rich. The hotel provide free wi-fi in rooms and free parking. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only 15-20 min walk to city center by foot or 5-10 min with bus, who has a stop just in front of hotel.... More

We stayed here for one night: drove to town from the countryside, turned in the rental car at the nearby airport, arranged our bags, then taxi to the airport in the morning for our flights to North America. It's on a main street, but pretty quiet for a city hotel. The room was comfortable and clean; decor is austere. Wi-fi... More

Undoubtedly the Karwendel is a bit "tired" and could do with a makeover. That said, it's good accommodation at a realistic price in quite an expensive city. The room was very large and was neat, clean and tidy (I think all rooms same size). Breakfast included the usual continental cold items (meat, cheese, etc) plus hot (sausages and scrambled egg)....
