Great views of Salzburg's "house mountain" the Untersberg. The service was great and the traditional Salzburg food was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were very clean and very nice furnished. The restaurant has a nice outdoor garden.

I have visited Simmerlwirt 3 times. I hope to visit it again. It is a place where you can truly rest and enjoy the local good food. It is located on the outskirt of Salzburg, close to the Untersberg mountain and also close to the famous Berchtesgaden & Konigssee. It is a few minutes of bus ride down to the... More

Being here last year, I'm happy to report this place is best place to stay in Salzburg. While it's not directly in the city, it's near berchasgarten Germany, the mt. Untersberg cable car and overall easy to get everywhere from. Most importantly, their kitchen is excellent. The owner watches everything and ensures the food is perfect with fast, accurate and... I had been here (eaten) before by being introduced by a local who proved to me the kitchen was excellent. While it is a small family run place, the food and service was excellent. We decided to try on our return to stay there and we are very happy. The price is great with the rooms being very clean and... More

This inn was my second choice as the hotel Grodig we stayed at 3 years did not seem to be operating,so we plumbed for this Inn.From the road it looks a if it could do with a bit off TLC,but once in side it takes on a different appearance, the bedrooms were large/clean,large shower, big dinning room, good food.We sat in the court... A quaint and lovely inn at the foot of the mountain....(be sure to ride the tram up... near bus stop ...very short walk from the inn). Accomodations and breakfast were excellent....love the town....and even the morning church bells (right next door) were welcome. The bus ride to Salzburg center was easy and pleasant... bus stop is a short walk across... More

We booked this inn over the internet through its partner, the Hotel Sallerhof, as it was closed at the time we were in Salzburg. We were not disappointed with the alternate accommodation, though, as it was first class. We arrived in Salzburg by train at night, so finding our way by bus was a little difficult, though the directions we... More
