Belmondo Hotel is notoriously hard to find. It's location is easy enough, but it's door sign is practically non-existent and the exterior looks more like an office block than a hotel. We walked past the front door TWICE before we saw a printed A4-sized paper stuck on the door that said "Hotel Belmondo". I got a bit worried then and... More

Easy to get to from A8 if driving in from Germany. Helpful english speaking front desk staff. The italian restaurant next door serves in a common outside garden and it was fabulous. Totally unexpected but the risotto, caprese, and prosecco were all outstanding. If not for a desire to try other places we could have eaten there over and over.... More

It's a hotel, not a BnB. You have to pay an extra 11 euros if you want breakfast in the morning. Positives : - reasonable price considering most places in Salzburg are pretty expensive - short walk from main train station - staff are friendly and helpful - good shower Negatives : - roadside rooms are incredibly noisy. Only stay... More

What I liked: Friendly staff at reception, clean sheets and towels and nice breakfast. That's it!! Italian restaurant close to it. Didn´t like: Reception closing at 11 o´clock, have to walk up to first floor to take the lift. No good for handicapped people. Can´t imagine being there in case of a fire. Very small bathrooms. Although they say internet... More

We stayed in Hotel Belmondo for 3 nights when we had visited Salzburg. We were group of 6 and had booked the hotel for real cheap. When we read the reviews we were a bit skeptical if we had taken a right decision by booking this hotel. But it turned out to be a very good one. The hotel is... More

We stayed here 1 night on the way home from ski-ing. Hotel staff very friendly. Room spacious for a city centre, clean, warm, comfortable bed. Breakfast was extra at 11€ but was quite extensive and on the top floor so good view over the city. Taxi to the airport was 12€, bus goes nearby but we had lots of luggage.... More

We stayed here for one night. The location is close to the main train station, but is far from the center and fortress. It is however, close to the Mirabell Gardens. The room was a bit noisy even with the window closed, so make sure to ask for a room facing the courtyard. We had a couple of things go... More

rooms simple luckily we got a couryard facing room (the street in front is quite busy + noisy) staff "forgot" to clean on one of the days of our stay which is not the standard expected of a four star hotel location is within walking distance of old town center (15-20 minute walk) reception staff were very friendly throughout

We got this hotel as a last minute booking and we were pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff were exceedingly polite and friendly, the rooms were clean but the hallways a bit shabby. The neighborhood was okay but the hotel was quite out of the way. Overall we enjoyed the stay but would probably not come back.

Don't expect Austria is cheap. The double room is € 120,00 per night. Breakfast is included. The railway station is not far. Leave your car at home because this hotel does not offer free parking. The season from 24.07. - 31.08. is considered the peak season. After that the same room is only € 90,00.
