If you like staying in a hotel surrounded by a car park this is the place for you. Though reasonably priced it offered little of the welcome afforded by other Austrian hotels with a reception often not staffed, a very noisy disco, room service that appeared not to include the cleaning of the actual rooms. Your really must stay clear of this place - the disco which the member from stuttgart mentioned below is unbelievably noisy - it certainly went on till 3 in the morning. The hotel is disorganised - often no one on reception and taxis wrongly ordered etc. Unbelievably, my room was not cleaned and I had to beg for clean towels.... more

Just returned from a week of skiing at the Gourmet Hotel Kaiserhof in Elmau. The hotel is situated on a plateau above Elmau with a spectacular view of the mountains (note: the road to the hotel is a little steep and windy). Very good price and excellent location. The hotel has a disco that is at the end of it and it is very loud on Friday and Saturday nights to late hours.
