I have been coming here and to Salzburg since this hotel was Die Österreichischer Hof. This is tradition personified. The suites are large (650 sq. ft), with true separate bedrooms. Each suite individually decorated with art, antiques and traditional furnishings. Some with fire places. Ours overlooking the Salzach River. The Sacher Bar is already green and red, so ready for... We have just returned from a 3 day trip to the beautiful city of Salzburg and I can thoroughly recommend the Hotel Sacher. It sits over looking the Salzach River and our room had fantastic views of the old city. The hotel is just superb. The staff are courteous and very friendly and are happy to help. We had a... More

First night a tiny Sacher cake on my pillow, cosy silent carpets, sound quality bathing towels and bath robe. Warm light switched on when u come home at night. Slept like in heaven. Well worth the money to stay there at least once in a lifetime. Share with your beloved.

The hotel is beautifully located by the Salzach River and centrally located within Salzburg. I would say in terms of location it is the best! If you are a foodie or a shop addict, just cross the river using the New and beautiful Makartsteg bridge and you are next to all that you need. I stayed in one of the... More

The first impression of the Sacher Hotel was fantastic, as one of the doormen opened the car door, and then opened the hotel door. We had a little wait at reception, but once we spoke to the receptionist, we were upgraded, with a double upgrade. We were also informed we would receive breakfast, which we had not booked, so we... This is certainly a beautiful hotel. It has old-fashioned charm while being very fresh and luxurious. Service is traditionally attentive rather than warm and caring. Our room was large and full of treats. Breakfast was simply amazing. We appreciated the i-pod docking station, white bathrobes and windows that open. The location is unbeatable, being at the pedestrian bridge leading to... More

Stayed for 2 nights December 2015 and really disappointed after carrying our own bags up the front steps. Arriving close to the main restaurant closing, we decided to eat in the grill cafe where my husband was served raw fish and my white wine arrived as a red. Renovations so the gym facilities weren't available but we could walk up... More

My husband and I stayed here in January 2016 for three nights. The hotel was undergoing renovations at the time, but this really didn't impact on us. There isn't a bad thing I could say about this hotel. The staff were generous with their time, and extremely pleasant. Simon at the front desk was especially lovely. Our room had been... More

This hotel is so charming itself, that transport you to another time. Very nice and well conserved building, with a nice well decorated and modern rooms. The breakfast was superb and with everything you can imagine. I loved the bathroom (tv in the mirror, shower and bathtub) and all the toiletries smells like chocolate, just great! Very nice experience.
