I booked a weekend at the Sacher Salzburg as a surprise for my partner on our anniversary. I wanted somewhere we could relax and enjoy a bit of luxury and we got just that. The rooms were very comfortable with some lovely touches such as a selection of chocolates and the famous Sacher Torte. The staff could not have been... more

Where do we start.... Due to a missed flight we arrived incredible late and we phoned the hotel, this wasn't a problem. Arrived at the hotel at 3am and the Concierge kindly offered to park our car for us in the hotel parking, as we were so tired we were glad of the kind gesture. Next morning we went to... more

What a hotel! When you get out of your taxi you are welcomed and your suitcase "dissappears" immediate and pops up in your room. The room was beautiful decorated, only a little bit smaller than I expected, especially the bathroom. Dinner in the hotel is very good, quick service if you tell them you have concert-tickets. Breakfast really yummie. Even... more

A year after the event and I am finally finding the time to remember the Sacher. It made a very strong impression upon me at the time and became my yardstick for subsequent hotel stays. It was chosen purely for it's location on the river Salsach, affording a view of the Old town of Salzburg and the fortress that stands... more

My husband and I stayed at the Sacher last week. It is a very nice period hotel in a wonderful location. Everything you could want or need is within walking distance. Everyone who works there, from the chambermaids to the front desk, is excellent and very professional at his job. The service of the hotel staff deserves 5 stars. Room... more

Five stars is not adequate to describe this charming and beautiful hotel. We arrived at 2 a.m. after a long journey and were treated as though it were mid day by a delightful staff. The hotel is convenient to wonderful food and quaint shops. Our room was elegant and if you have the opportunity you should definitely order room service!... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights in a SUPERIOR DOUBLE ROOM. PROS: Excellent location--not too far from any shopping, restaurants, Sound of Music tour, castle, etc. The room was a very good size, actually a bit bigger than we needed. Balcony with a good view of the castle and the river. Room service was good--like when I... more

If your looking for an authentic hotel with european charm the Sacher Salzburg is definitely worth staying at. Situated right in the heart of mozart country and with a spectacular view of the 'sound of music' locales the hotel is straight out of a picture postcard. The superior rooms and suites at the hotel are very tastefully done using classic... more

After staying at the Sacher Hotel in Vienna, 2 years ago, we decided to go to Salzburg to visit the xmas markets and chose again for the Sacher hotel having had a good experience in Vienna. The Sacher in Salzburg is ideally situated right across the river which lies between the hotel and the town centre. (100 mtres by foot).... more

We stayed at the Hotel Sacher last weekend, on a quick break to experience the christmas markets. The hotel is lovely, and the service is excellent. We only booked a standard room, but that was much larger than we expected, and fully equipt with everything we needed. The view was into the new part of the city, rather than the... more
