We stayed 4 nights here & were grateful that we could be moved to the rear of the hotel after the first night as the noise from the pedestrian precinct below extended into the small hours. The room at the back was great and much quieter although you can't escape the church bells from 7am on. The hotel is just... More

Hotel Krone 1512 was a pleasant surprise upon arriving to Salzburg via train. It was a short taxi ride from the station. The service was friendly. Our room was nice and on a main street up from the city center. Very walkable. We enjoyed the coffee/hotel water machine, too! The connecting bar/restaurant can be a bit loud at night, especially... I arrived on my bicycle in Salzburg covered in mud after a rainy days cycle. Nico the manager of the Krone understood my predicament in classy Salzburg, providing personally two large buckets of warm water with which to clean my shoes and bicycle. The room was large clean and reasonably priced, centrally located. I ended up staying for three nights... More

My wife and I stayed for three nights in July 2014. It was our first time to Salzburg and this place really enhanced our experience. First, the location of the hotel could not be better. It's within walking distance of everything you'd want to see or do. There are tons of great shops, cafés, and restaurants literally within feet outside... More

Nice hotel a few blocks from the river & old town. Rooms are clean & staff are friendly. Location surrounded by shops, restaurants, & bakeries. Nice garden in back for relaxation. No AC (probably not needed) & full breakfasts are14 Euros which are in addition to room rate. For a triple the rate is115 Euros/night including VAT. Convenient & structure... More

We arrived on Thursday evening to find that reception was closed at 6.30pm and the bar owner next door had been given our room key. On entering the room we were so disappointed! We had booked a double deluxe and this room certainly was not! We went back down to the bar and he gave us a key to the... More

Fantastic place located in the middle of the old town, all rooms have unique features, specially enjoyable the rooms upstairs with bathtubs in the room :-) and access to the terrace. Spacious and stylish with plenty of charm of an old house and facilities of modern living. Exceptional good value for a 4* hotel. The staff were all lovely and... More

We stayed at the one bedroom apartment with two teens for 3 nights. The apartment is not on the same building as the hotel itself. We got a key and had to walk down 3-4 minutes to an old apartment building on the main street and the key opened the main door of the building as well as the apartment's... More

We stayed 1 night in a last minute deal and mainly chose it because of the price. The location is good in the New part of town and only 5 minutes walk across the bridge to the old part of town. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Main problem we had was with the church across the road.... More

Enjoyed 5 nights at this Hotel in a very comfortable large deluxe room. Room was an annexe at back of Hotel with small terrace though no view. Huge modern bathroom with large walk in shower and a sunken bath in the room surrounded by lights. Cannot fault this Hotel as our room was 4 star, quiet and had everything we... More
