Me, wife n son had a tour travel Austria -Germany this august. We had eight nights in different hotels on our way. So, Dr.Schlossl was worst of them. Old beds and other furniture, short blankets, dirty bathroom, clogged sink. Shower hose couldn`t be fixed on the rod. Plus not friendly enough staff. Therefore, Dr.Schlossl looks romantic only from outside. I... More

Stayed there overnight on the last weekend. The place is located 10 min drive from the Salzburg Altstadt parking, so if you got a car - that's a great location. The room was nice, clean, beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is included in the price and was very nice. Parking - plenty and free. Cost - 88 Euro per night... More

Stayed here for two nights recently. Really lovely hotel, great location, bus stop into Salzburg was a few minutes walk away. Close to restaurants in the area. Staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable. A lovely stay.

The hotel was very cozy, clean, and quaint without being outdated. The staff was helpful and polite. We arrived quite late our first night, and the gentleman at the front desk stayed up past 11 pm to check us in, although check-in is supposed to be from 2:00-10:00 pm. The next day, he gave us good advice and maps for... More

We stayed here during the festival - it's a 15 minute bus journey from the centre of town which was a bit annoying but then everywhere is very pricey during the festival so we benefitted from being out of town. It's also very quiet and with a brilliant view of the mountains if you have breakfast in the garden. Reception... More

The hotel is outside the centre of Salzburg. It is easy enough to walk to the buss top and take the 15 minute journey into town but it is a nuisance after having walked all round Salzburg. It also adds about 5 euros per person for the journey. The hotel has a interesting history and is decorated in period style.... More

I stayed in Salzburg for two days while paying a longer visit in Italy. This hotel was simple and good price. I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was delicous and included. We took the bus into town and it was very easy to figure out. The beds were not very comfortable and were small, but I was fine.

The Doktorschloessl is located at the southern periphery of Salzburg. To find a parking for the car is no problem. To the centre of the city it is a bustrip of 15 minutes. The rooms of the hotel would need some refurbishment. Especially the beds are not very comfortable and caused backache. Breakfast could be better. The rates are even... More

Stayed there on August 2006. When arriving I thought we might have done a mistake. It didn`t seem a good hotel, a bit old house, the reception was on one side of the street and the building with the room on the other, no lift, was a little far from the center town. We (a couple with a 8 years... More

Just to tell you there is a big mountain right behind the hotel. The hotel is a small one, the picture of the house is actually only the restaurant. It has 3 floors and no lift and is quite far away from the city. It is a great little hotel that has the charm of the Sound of Music almost... More
