I stayed at Hotel Golden Ente for three nights with my daughter on our trip to Austria, and Germany. I found the hotel via the internet, and had to change dates once. Email correspondence with Ulrike was prompt, and professional. She made the stay so wonderful! It was as if we knew her all of our lives. She helped us... more

We landed in Salzburg by an overnight train from Frankfurt am Main at three in the morning, and guess what without any accomodation booking! The information centre at the station opened at I think at 8.00am and the lady got us not only a double room at the Goldene ente but at a fabulous rate. Ulrika, I think that's her... more

Have just stayed two nights at Hotel Goldene Ente in Salzburg. we walked from the train station, which took us about 20 minutes and was a very easy route. Goldene Ente is right in the Old Town. Our room was enormous, especially the bathroom which had a full sized bath in it. The beds, towels and the bathrobe supplied made... more

I can't speak for the other rooms, but we loved the apartment! On the top floor, the suite was huge, with a canopy bed in the main room, along with a couch and coffee table. Off that room is another spacious bedroom and a large kitchen with bench seating. There are two bathrooms but the only shower is in the... more

This is a small, comfortable, friendly hotel, right in the middle of the Altstadt. It is within walking distance to all the tourist attractions, including Mozart’s birthplace & home, museums, art galleries and the Fortress (Festung). The location is also great for shopping, eating out and has numerous bars, all along the river. We had a 'Superior' room (#20) for... more

stayed 2 nights and found this hotel so convenient to all the sights in salzburg - within easy walking distance to everywhere. it is in the old town - 2 euro bus ride from the train station. it may seem expensive but there is a festival and its location was worth it. room was clean, and although somewhat small it... more

My daughter and I stayed here in July for three nights. The hotel is located in a fantastic part of the old city. It is within walking distance to everything you want to see. We took the bus from the train station to within a few blocks of the hotel. Our room was very spacious and had alot of extras,... more

We stayed four nights in Salzburg and we took a cab from the train station which makes it very easy to find. The hotel is mid block on a pedestrian only street but the cab got us within a couple hundred feet so the walk wasn't to bad. We were greeted by Ulrike who made our stay so much more... more

This is a wonderful hotel in the center of Old Salzburg. We stayed in the apartment that had a master bedroom with bath, a living room with comfy bed and sofa bed, another 1/2 bath and a kitchen. My only complaint is that there was no air conditioning. My husband, 3 children and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel.... more

The hotel is in the center of the old part of the city. If you’re coming in by train, the best way to get there is by taxi. It’s 5 minutes from the train station and it will cost you a little less than 8 euro. The hotel is truly rustic looking but what is important to us is that... more
