If you are looking for a convenient yet off-downtown place to stay in Salzburg, Kohlpeter is your choice! We can recommend it. Located in the Taxham neighborhood, you find decent public transport (busses, train station) and Europark shopping center after a very short walk. We stayed here for one night on our way driving back from Croatia to the UK. We were really only looking for a bed and a shower, but the Hotel Kohlpeter gave us much more! We stayed here for 2 nights with my son and everything was enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean with 3 windows looking out to the road and the restaurant underneath. I stayed for two nights during a very wet period but managed to see alot of the sights within this timeframe. This inn is situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood. There is lots of free parking available. We (me and my 2 teenage daughters) stayed 2 nights here on our way from Lux to SK. We had a triple room. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, good shower, decent WIFI.
