We satyed in this charming Pension for 4 nights in the Summer of 2007 and had a very enjoyable time. The location is excellent, with the walk to the centre of town not only quick but very pleasant. The guest house was typically Austrian, and although the many animal heads in the breakfast room may have raised a few eyebrows... more

fabulous, ten minute walk from the moutainside on the outskirt of the city, wonderful view of the mountains from balcony, on arrival we were greeted by the family who run the hotel, made to feel very special - rooms are very spacious and well looked after, the breakfast was very enjoyable, really helped make our weekend one we will never... more

A very nice house tucked away on a hillside but only ten minutes walk from Salzburg centre or by bus at bottom of road 3 minutes. Spotless, well run establishment with a wonderful buffet breakfast. The majority of its thirteen rooms have a balcony looking over the area below and mountains in the distance. You can also get a package with... more

The hotel was in good condition and position great - only 10 walking minutes to town but a truly quiet and peaceful setting even though in town. The stay at Haus Arenberg was my birthday trip to Salzburg (wanted this for 30 years - I come from New Zealand). I booked by phone atleast 3 months in advance - booking... more

My partner and i stayed at this lovely little hotel for a week. The location is lovely if you dont mind a 10 minute walk to the centre. The room was clean and had everything that you needed including a lovely balcony which looked out onto the trees, the garden and the alps in the distance. Even on the few... more

Great Location, just 10 minutes walk from the historic town centre. If you want the city experience with a taste of the country this one is for you. Clean and comfortable. Very helpful owner too - much better than the tourist office. more

Confused! Upstairs seemed clean and from the pictures on their website the bedrooms appeared large with great views. Our room on other hand was three flights down from the entry; tiny, with a small window view above our heads of the grass. What stopped us in our tracks was the cleanliness. Various hairs all over the sheets and bed side... more

This hotel is tucked up on the moutainside near the Old Town, about a 7-8 minute walk up from the bus stop. We were able to both walk into the Old Town or to take the bus. The setting is beautiful and the hotel itself is more like the home of a well off family, very clean and very good... more

Stayed in Salzburg for 4 days. Pension 4* Arenburg is 5-8 minutes downhill walk to Old Town. Only found out on last day that local outdoor heated pool was at the bottom of the hill DOH! Has 13 rooms, we had room 5 on second floor, spotlessly clean, lovely little balcony - ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING VIEWS - you can hear a... more

Just spent a very enjoyable three days at the Haus Arenberg hotel in Salzburg. Only ten minutes' walk from the Old Town, it nevertheless has a countryside feel to it, nestled under the Kapuzinerberg mountain. Family owned and run, all the staff are very friendly and obliging - nothing seems too much trouble! The room was clean, smart and had... more
