We have stayed for 2 nights in Haus Arenberg to visit Salzburg to visit some of the plenty historical sites and other attractions. The hotel's location on Arenberg is very quaint and the old town is about 15 minutes to be reached if you go quickly, but alternatively a cab for less than 10 Euros can be taken. The hotel... More

This was a well-situated hotel across the river from Historic Salzburg. A 10-15 minute walk through a lovely hillside neighborhood lands you in the heart of historic downtown. The husband and wife running the hotel are absolutely delightful. They were helpful with restaurant and sightseeing options and quickly pointed us to a local grocery when needed. The quad room was... Have just returned from a 5 night stay at Haus Arenberg with my husband. We were very impressed with the hotel and all the staff. Exceptionally clean and fresh. Beds were comfy and the pillows were to die for. We stayed in a room with views of the mountains. Couldn't have asked for better. Would recommend to friends and family... More

I have returned from a 10 night stay at Haus Arenberg with my husband. What a hidden gem! Spotlessly clean, a marvellous breakfast buffet, a view out over the mountains and a hostess who spoke several languages, including excellent English, and who really could't do enough to make our stay as memorable and pleasurable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed Salzburg. This hotel has a lovely yard and breakfast area. The room had a balcony with a view of the mountains which was very nice. I found the communication lacking however, when we had questions and the proprietor failed to respond, or at least respond in a timely manner. One should note to hire a cab to... More

This was the most wonderful B&B experience tucked away from the main streets of Salzburg. The views are amazing. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. The walk into the downtown area is delightful!

We were very impressed with Haus Arenberg. Just a short distance from the hustle and bustle, with spectacular views of the mountains! The owners are wonderful, friendly, helpful. They helped us to organise and excursion as well as sorting us out with bus tickets. The breakfast was delicious and varied, served in an interestingly decorated, bright room. And the rooms... More

We loved our stay at Haus Arenberg! Amazing hospitality by the owners who cannot do enough for you. Easy walk to the old town via lovely old homes and cobblestone roads. View of the mountains are breathtaking. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice.

Had a lovely 3 night stay at the B & B, the rooms were very comfortable, well equipped and to a high standard. Breakfasts were great and were served in traditional Austrian dress. View would have been better had it not been cloudy. Very hospitable, free wifi and lots of of information to help with your stay. Will go back... More

If you are looking for a large, American style hotel, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for charm, a great view, good breakfast, helpful staff, clean and quiet, then this is it. We stayed 3 nights here and loved it. We are big fans of European bread/rolls and we started each day with a great... More
