The hotel - was in a good location on a nice street across the bridge from the old town. The room - spacious, very clean and beautiful decor, quad glazed, I guess in an attempt to muffle the sound of the church bells that chime all the time from 7am. Free safe in room too. The staff - were friendly... More

We arrived at Hotel Amadeus at the beginning of the two day Linzergasse Festival and were greeted by large crowds in the mall and music stages every hundred metres or so. One of them, a wooden dance floor was right under our room on the second floor. The double shuttered windows, however, we found to block out most of the... More

The location of this hotel is central - in the New Town, but only a short walk to the Old Town. And it is in a picturesque area of New Town - on Linzergasse. We stayed 4 nights and our first night was in room 10 - first floor, front of the building. This is a weird room and very... More

This is a nice little hotel in the city centre new town area a short walk away from the old town. The hotel isn't that big but that said it is very nice. Our room was on the first floor at the front of the hotel which is on a busy street with lots of restaurants on. We found this... More

Excellent location in the old part of the town. The room we stayed in must have only just been refurbished because it all looked totally new. Beautifully designed bedroom room and shower room. Very comfortable bed. No air-conditioning or fan so we chose to sleep with the window open. Our room overlooked the grave yard cloister of St Sebastian so... More

We were originally booked for the Goldene Ente, but due to their renovation, we were moved to the Hotel Amadeus. The location of the Amadeus was great...located on a pedestrian street of shops and restaurants and directly linked to the bridge to the other side of the river. The rooms were all clean (our group had 4 rooms) and comfortable... More

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We arrived by train and walked, which took us about 15-20 minutes. The street in front of the hotel, Linzergasse, appeared to be pedestrian only. If we had taken a taxi, we probably could have taken it to the corner of Wolf Dietrich and Linzergasse, which would have been less than 5... More

Hotel Amadeus is quite small, exclusive hotel on the pedestrian street Linzer Gasse. We had a spacious and comfortable superior double room which was nicely furnished with a canopy bed and seating area with two comfortable armchairs and table. The bathroom was also very spacious including multiactive rain shower set, separate wc and dressing room. Furthermore there was a communal... More

We were originally booked into the Hotel Golden Ent but unbeknown to us the Hotel was closing on the day we were due to arrive for refurbishment. Unfortunately, our travel company had omitted to advise us and we only found out a few days before travelling that our booking had been transferred to Hotel Amadeus! Our initial reaction was disappointment... More
