Traveled solo for a quick weekend getaway to Salzburg. Great location along the river with nice rooftop cafe overlooking much of the center. Hotel is old but very nicely updated and maintained. Overall, good stay and would return.

On our last day in Salzburg we visited the roof terrace for lunch. It was a beautiful day with clear blue skies. The roof terrace is a perfect setting overlooking the old town with the magnificent backdrop of the Salzburg Fortress. This visit would be our final activity of our long weekend break and was marred by the staff and... More

The hotel has a great location right in the very centre of the old city with access by foot to almost any part in less than half an hour. The view from the top floor is breathtaking and day or night it's an amazing place to be. Breakfast is also fab a little thin on selection but generally not bad.... More

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate my birthday. When checking in there was a couple ahead of us being seen to. The receptionist after a while looked up and asked if she could help my partner. Odd seeing as she was checking somebody else in and we had a case so were clearly waiting to check in. We... More

We had one night here which was great. We choose it because of its roof terrace which is great for a drink in the evening. It is walking distance to the old town. I was hoping to get an newer room as it was my husbands birthday and was a little disappointed as the room was run down. I had... More

My friend found this charming hotel in the heart of Salzburg. It was well within walking distance to all the sites we wanted to see. They upgraded us randomly to a room with a great view of the river and the old part of town. We did a Sound of Music tour and they picked us up at the hotel... More

In both nights we stayed in Salzburg we went to the rooftop of this hotel. This place was recommended by our receptionist in another hotel and it's open to everyone. The open terrace area has incredible views towards the Salzburg Alt Stadt. During the end of December it was snowing, and we were still able to use the terrace thanks... More

We saw this place while riding the bus from the airport and decided to visit as our first restauarant in Salzburg. What a wonderful choice! The food was great and not too expensive. The view of downtown Salburg was also beautiful. The weather was a little rainy so our table was thankful we could move to the inside as an... More

We have visited this hotel 8 times over the last 10 years with varying degrees of customer satisfaction. The hotel is now under new management and we returned for a long weekend. We had requested with our booking a view of the river, fortress and old town because the rooms at the back of the hotel are dark and overlooked... More

This hotel was perfect. The location was brilliant ,Central and on the river. The staff were great and really helpful especially Steve Murphy on the rooftop. Food good, service first class, great cocktails and an added touch with prosecco with breakfast. Reasonable price and comfortable rooms. The sound of music tour was great and well worth the cost especially if... More
