Central location and great roof terrace, but poor or average in every other way. Staff did not clean dirty glasses or trash from room each day. Room #505 was so narrow, that we could hardly walk between the wall and the bed and it only contained one window (granted it did have a terrific view.)

My family enjoyed a 3 nights stay, had a good size room for triple, and a television screen in the bathroom.Great location to good restaurants and walking distance to sight-seeing spots and bus-stop to railway station. Friendly front office staff who help us on directions( walking route & bus) to sight-see Salzburg. Highly reccommended.

Our stay at Hotel Stein got off to a rocky start in a room that needed some repair, but once we explained the issues, we were moved to a nicer room. The stay came with an amazing breakfast on the top floor of the hotel overlooking old Salzburg. The view was breathtaking. Be prepared to climbed stairs as the elevator... More

We stayed in this hotel for only one night in January, 2014. The rooms are small but adequate. The location of the hotel is good....a short walking distance to the main pedestrian areas. No parking at the hotel but there is some located about 500m away. Dropping off/picking up luggage is a bit difficult as you have to park right... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and we still have very pleasant memories from this hotel. While I do understand some of the criticisms concerning low ceilings, slanted floors and limited electrical sockets you have to understand that this is a very, very old historical building and as such has its charm. We did enjoy... More

Stayed to visit Christmas Markets and would recommend both the hotel and the markets. Hotel only did breakfast which had a large selection buffet. Room very comfortable and large bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. I liked the eclectic styling of the bedrooms but the hallways and corridors are very dark.

Hello everyone. I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend about 2 years ago and we had a amazing time. I'm currently doing a scrap book of where we have stayed and need some memorabilia from the orange hotel. If anyone is going to stay here I would be so grateful if you could pick me up a napkin or... Great location in walking distance of city centre. An old hotel with different themes for each room, decor and design interesting. Great bar with terrace on 6th floor. Can get a little noisy when your below, but not that disruptive. Great access to wifi throughout hotel, although logging in and out continuously can become tedious. The staff are super helpful...
