Please don't let other people's reviews turn you away from this delightful, well-located hotel. I traveled there just last week with a Rick Steves tour, and the hotel was chosen by Rick Steves. I had read the reviews about Giovanni and, admittedly, was a little nervous. But our guide gave us some basic courtesies that completely smoothed our way with... more

We stayed four nights in a back room where we could see the bells of the church but they never bothered us. Our overall rating of very good reflects the fact that while the room was big, it was dated, but the location was excellent ,Silvia and Giovanni were friendly and a lot of fun, and the price was a... more

The Good: The Trumer Stube is a pleasant hotel in a great location. Our room, a cozy American-style double outfitted in frilly floral, was comfortable and spacious by European standards. Silvia, the co-owner that manages the front desk was courteous and helpful. The Bad: The gentleman co-owner of the hotel runs the breakfast in the morning and he is extremely... more

This hotel, within a few minutes walk of all the main places of interest, is very well located. The room was very comfortable, and while the bathroom may be small it was perfectly fine. We were not disturbed by any noise; while you do hear the church bells I should imagine you would hear them wherever you stayed in the... more

Stayed at this hotel 3 nights, short walk over bridge to old town. Close to Mirrabel gardens and tour buses. Our room was clean and quiet (apart from church bells in morning) . Position more than makes up for any noise. Sylvia was absolutely delightful and assisted us with advice and bookings and seemed genuinely interested in our holiday plans... more

Not much to say: it's ok and a bit better - friendly, helpful staff and so on, breakfast ok, room fine but unremarkable. But - two bits of advice: pay extra for the rooms at the back, away from the street (although the church bells are closer!) AND don't arrive after 2100 hrs - the reception desk closes then. more

The room was clean, on the 5th floor so we had no water pressure. But what makes this hotel not worth the $ is the man who runs the breakfast room. Our guide called him "interesting" we called him just plain rude. The breakfast room is tiny, he gruffly tells people where to sit. Pours 1/2 cup of coffee, I... more

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Trumer Stube. Silvia and Giovanni were very gracious hosts. Silvia did recommend several super restaurants in the area - as well as dinner and a concert in the fortress. That was a great experience. The hotel was very comfortable and yes, the bathrooms are small, but clean. There is a bar down the... more

Recently returned from our trip. We stayed at Trumer Stube several nights and although the location is convenient, it did not make up for all that was lacking. The bathroom was very old and in need of repairs and updates. There were missing and cracked tiles, the water in the shower stall did not drain well, the grouting was old,... more

A nice hotel tucked away on a small street across the river from the old city. Conveniently close to Mirabell and pedestrain areas. Very clean and up to date. The owners are very friendly and helpful and available to assist you with whatever your needs are. Breakfast is included with a variety of choices. The downside was the noise. Several... more
