The modernization of this historic building is impressive. Materials and decor are thoughtfully chosen. The location could not be better for accessing top sights. The staff was cheerful and very helpful. Breakfast was superb. We are budget-minded Americans and comparing this to comparably-priced American hotels was mind boggling.

We loved this hotel. It was our first time in Salzburg and you couldn't wish for a better location; you're two minutes' walk from Mozart Square and the Cathedral Quarter, or go the other way and you can walk up towards the amazing fortress. Most of the main sights are within an easy (and interesting) walk, with plenty of restaurants... More

We stayed here on our honeymoon and fell in love with Salzburg. The hotel was great, the staff were friendly and the location was great, we walked everywhere and when we needed the bus, the bus stop wasn't too far away. Breakfast was good and we really enjoyed our stay here

The hotel is superbly located in the old city making most of the sights a short walk away. The rooms were a little small, but given the location and the fact that we spent most of our two days and nights out and about, that was not a major issue for us. The gentleman helping at the front desk recommended... More

The location could not be beat - within short walking distance to everything within the old, center of Salzburg and as a result, we did have to park a short distance away. The front desk staff were the most helpful throughout our Germany/Austria trip. Our room was very quiet and European standard in size, however the bathroom was newly remodeled... More

We stayed here on the final leg of our Austria tour. Perfectly situated in the centre of the old town. We were given a very warm welcome. Front of house staff were very helpful in assisting with our tourist needs. The room was very small as noted in other reviews. However, the room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was... More

This charming small hotel, just steps from Mozartplatz, is owned by a pleasant young woman named Christine who can trace her family back to 1334 in Austria. (She is the person with the bicycle on their website.) You can walk to most of the sights in Old Town Salzburg in five minutes or less. The rooms are inviting and spotless,... More

My wife and I arrived in Salzburg on the 21st day of our vacation, and stayed two nights. During check-in, imagine our surprise when the owner of the tour we were to join in 4 days recognized our name and said hi. This was an amazing bit of serendipity. The hotel staff were nice and helpful. The room was moderately... More

Last time we stayed in Salzburg we were a good 15 min walk from old town. This time we decided we wanted to be closer and this hotel really fit the bill. In addition to the great location, the rooms were a nice size and clean. Also included a mini fridge and a drying rack (which was good because we... More

Location of this hotel is great--right in Old Town near Mozartplatz. Can walk pretty much anywhere you would want, and we did. Street is a little away from the main crowds, which was nice, especially with the masses of people in town for the Christmas markets. Staff were very nice and accommodating, and spoke English well. The breakfast was a... More
