We had no prior booking and were lucky to get a front view room. Staff on reception were friendly and extremely helpful. There is no parking at the hotel, however it is a few minutes walk from a public car park and reception will provide a discounted ticket. The room was average size, neither too small or too large. The... More

Nothing was too much trouble in this hotel. We arrived early (late morning) and were shown to our room straight away. While this hotel does not have air-conditioning and later in the summer may have been hot, it was OK while we were there. The staff were extremely helpful, particularly Frau Ulrika, who went out of her way to be... More

This hotel is very well-run with a very helpful front desk staff. I was under the impression they charged for wi-fi, but this must've changed as we got personalized logins/passwords for as many devices as we needed. The breakfast area is super bright and cheerful with a great selection of pastries, jams & spreads, and very good cheese scrambled eggs... More

We stayed at this hotel in the old city in Salzburg in August 2014. The hotel is very well situated, the rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is above average. My one complaint is that it was August, and the temperature was in the high 70's to mid 80's. Not very hot really, but the rooms... More

My wife and I took a four day mini break to Salzburg whilst on our main holiday in Germany. We drove the 400 miles from Bonn on a July Sunday on autobahns that were heavily congested and plagued by continuous road works. Our stay fell within the Salzburg Festival season. The city was vibrant with classical music concerts and street... More

Very comfortable, charming family-run hotel with a lot of character and typical Austrian feel - for example staff wore traditional Austrian dresses. Excellent attention by staff who were always kind and helpful. Our online booking was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Modern, clean rooms. Lovely breakfast served including scrambled eggs and bacon, cereals, bread etc. Perfect location in Aldstadt (old... More

For my 5-night stay in Salzburg, I found a gem of a place! Hotel Weiss Taube is literally steps away from Mozartplatz in the heart of the old city, or Altstadt. The multi-lingual staff is exceptionally accommodating. Ulrike greeted me warmly after my long flight, and suggested I come to the desk after freshening up so she could mark sights... More

If you are looking for a fancy room, don't come here. You will be disappointed. But if you want helpful staff who knock themselves out to ensure your stay is pleasant, make a reservation now. Brilliant location (right in the heart of old Salzburg), yummy breakfast, customer service that nearly predicts what you need before you need it... that's the... More

The staff are very friendly, patient and helpful. The room we got looked rather old and it is rather hot even at night. There is no air-con. Breakfast spread is quite limited. But the bacon is fried till crispy and they serve pâté too.

We spent two nights here and enjoyed the location of this hotel. We could walk everywhere and enjoyed the charm of the old town. The rooms were clean and breakfast was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even allowed us to have breakfast early as we had to catch an early train out of the city.
