The only negative point is the pub next door. Sometimes is a little bit noisy. Great rooms and breakfast, served in the coffee shop next door. The staff is very friendly and the location is awesome. You can go on feet to the main tourist sightseeings, like mirabellgarten and the festung. I strongly recommend!

Simple Austrian hotel in the heart of Salzburg. Very basic rooms and mine was with a shared bathroom and shower. Clean and simple. Had a homey feel to it. What makes it is the people. The receptionist I interacted with were lovely, kind and helpful. Lots of restaurants right outside the doorstep. Easy access to everything in Salzburg!

They saying "you get what you pay for" definitely rings true here. We stayed in Germany for 1.5 weeks and this place did not compare to the consistent European standards of the others. To their credit, the hotel is in a good location... just across the river (5-10 minute walk) from the Old Town. The room itself was fine; white... More

We were given a room on the first floor (I think #107 above the lobby) that faced the back street. It was a Friday night (9/13/13) and around 11pm the music from a bar next door started to play - with a strong reverberating bass. When we opened the window to the street we could hear very little - the... More

Stayed here for 3 days. Rooms were clean but very basic. Bathroom quite smart though. Looked to be separate bathrooms at the end of the corridors so I'm guessing that not all rooms have their own bathrooms. Best the check this when booking. This hotel is not The Ritz but then it doesn't claim to be. It's a basic hostel... More

The hotel is situated half way between Station and old city. 10 min in each direction. Old fashioned, nice people, updated bathrooms. The breakfast in the Restaurant next door was OK. I will stay there again during my next visit.

Quaint hotel with friendly staff - good for a night or two's stay. Simply decorated but clean and restful. Breakfast is served in a cute cafe next door. The location is really fantastic - 5 minutes walk to everything! We drove and were able to find parking in a public secure car park about 5 minutes away. No wifi but... More

Fantastic location in the heart of old town. I visited this town for Salzburger Festspiele 27-29 of August 2013. Everything was just behind the corner; venues, restaurants, bus stops, museums, etc. I stayed in a room with shower and toilet outside in the corridor. Room was simple and clean with a nice bed, wooden floor, sink, towels, soap. No TV... More

This is a charming old hotel in a very convenient position. Even though my room was on the front of the building it was peaceful. I had a single room with quaint old furniture, but the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious, and there was even a fridge to keep my drinks cool. The staff were friendly and helpful,...
