Very quaint old hotel. Our room was on the top floor and a little smaller than other rooms but it did have a balcony were we could sit outside and looked back over the buildings towards hill behind Salzburg. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room is small but seems to work and it served a very good breakfast.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of a well-known tour group. First night was assigned Room 104. Found it to be dark, dingy and dirty. Cracked plaster with holes and scrape marks from the old furniture along the walls. Mattress and pillows were thin and worn. Threshold separating the bathroom from the hall stuck up about 1",... The hotel is located in a great location, near the old town and all of the shops, and there is a grocery store across the street. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk was very welcoming. The room was clean and had a "historic" feel to it (this was a positive thing). Overall, I would stay here again.

Firstly, the positives! The location is excellent and cannot be faulted. It's off the beaten track of the main tourist areas in Salzburg (which can be stifling and overwhelming), so is therefore very quiet and relaxing but only 5-10 mins walk away. The building is lovely and old, and the reception, breakfast room and all public areas are very well... More

With a very warm welcome.........Me and my wife celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at the kaseserbraeu. It was the perfect choice for a romantic break in the heart of the old town. We booked a junior suite which had an old world feel about it. The bath was retro looking and there was a separate shower to the side. All... More

The Hotel is charming in decór and ample in room size. However, when checking in we were given a room that had not been made up yet and had the previous occupants dirty cups and linen clearly evident. The mattress on my bed sagged and was clearly past its best. After a trail running race on the Saturday, I woke... More

This was a really quaint and charming hotel, smack in the middle of old town. As a very old home, it had quite a few odd nooks and crannies. If you want a new and modern hotel with all the conveniences, this is not for you. Staff were superb- so friendly and welcoming. Taxi does come to the front door,... More

As a family of four adults( Mum Dad and 2 adult girls) we booked 'The Leopold Suite' this was advertised as 2 double beds and this was definately not the case as one of the beds was actually a sofa bed with a mattress (I kid you not ) 5 cm thick. It was so uncomfortable for 1 person let... More

After having a less than great experience in a hotel in Munich we were quite delighted with our accommodations at this hotel. As we checked in, we were kindly greeted and informed that we were upgraded to a suite. The suite was simply amazing with double pane Windows that opened to a quaint a lush patio. Very spacious and lovely.... More

A small quaint hotel located in the pedestrian area two block from the cathedral this Hotel is a find. The service is excellent. You are provided a code to advance beyond the road pole to allow unloading at the front door. They provide private parking at a reasonable fee, and they greet you with a " we have been waiting...
