Very nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff that spoke English. The hotel is conveniently located right in the center of the old town (alstadt) within walking distance to the castle (Hohensalzburg Festung), St. Peter's Abbey, Mozart's birth house and the historic city center. The breakfast was a typical continental spread (Cold meats and cheeses served alongside a variety of... More

Staying in the pedestrian core of Salzburg is great, and this hotel was a comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay. We highly recommend paying the 15 euros for hotel parking nearby, tight as it may be.

We loved the location of the hotel. It is very close to Mozartplatz and a pretty easy walk to nearly anything you'd like to see in Salzburg. Our room appeared to have been recently renovated and was more than serviceable for the two of us. Most of the staff was very pleasant to work with. There was one man at... More

Made very welcome at this centrally located hotel. Our room a little on the small side and generally in need of a 'freshen up'. Unfortunately no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Very efficient lift. A very good standard breakfast. A little noisy in the streets outside during the night.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and were very disappointed in the quality of the room. We booked a "superior" room and were so shocked when we opened the door to our room and saw the shape it was in! I understand this is an old hotel which is supposed to have "old world charm" but they could... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days in May 2015. The hotel has some old world charm. It is a stone's throw from the main Cathedral, the Mozart museum and a couple of the main shopping streets. Right around the corner from the hotel is an Italian restaurant as well as a Greek restaurant. A longer walk and you... More

A charming hotel right in the center of the old city of Salzburg. The host and hostess are engaging and delightful. Finding the hotel can be difficult as you must have a 'passkey' to drive into the old part of town. Our room was small but well appointed. I would ask for a room at the back or you will... More

This is a charming, family run hotel in the pedestrian zone of the old city. The staff was quite pleasant, and very willing to accommodate our needs/wishes. The breakfast was much better than the standard European fare offered in most family run hotels. If you rent a car, the hotel can provide a discount for the local city parking. The... More

We had a great room and overall a good stay at this hotel but having read some of the reviews, we feel that we may have inadvertently lucked out. First thing to note though - if you plan to arrive by car, type in the following address into your GPS: Kajetanerplatz 1A, The hotel is locatei in the old part... More

I had booked this hotel through Amoma and was lucky enough to book the Markus Sitikus suite. We were not dissapointed, a three roomed suite with comfortable beds and a spa bath, fridge with drinks, quirky furniture and situated just under the castle in the old town. You will also find the hotel has its very own cinema apparently very... More
