This was our 2nd stay at the Bergland and we will be back. Its such a nice change to stay somewhere that feels like home. Its not flashy with porters and room service. Tastefully decorated, spacious and very quiet rooms, an enormous bathroom, comfortable bed, and an amazing breakfast! In addition, the owner was so kind and interesting, it made all the difference choosing a family-run chic hotel!

I reserved our rooms after finding the hotel on line. After already booking, I read a scathing review by a dissatisfied former guest and it worried me, but needlessly. This hotel was lovely with a small terrace where we sat and had a pre dinner drink every night. Room for three was HUGE. Very comfortable and breakfast also excellent. The young woman who greeted us was an absolute treasure - nothing was too much trouble including making me a cup of tea one night. Will definitely go back there
