Salzburg is obviously a very touristy town with lots of groups and travelers coming for the Sound of Music Tour, Mozart Tours, festivals, castle, etc. Many of the higher end hotels are over in the Old Town and you pay a premium for that. We had a great stay in SAlzburg. The Lasserhof is a small hotel near the wonderful Mirabel Gardens. Rooms are clean and confortable, internet is free and the breakfast is delicious. more

Location was great, 5 mins from main train station, 5 mins from main sites. The rich Breakfast was included in the price, great selection. Free Internet was a nice surprise. Room was clean like the rest of the hotel, the kind staff made our stay very comfortable. Very good value for the rate. more

This is a convenient hotel close to the train station and the pedestrian area with good value for the price. Kind staff most of then can speak fluent English. Rich complimentary breakfast and very clean good sized room some with balcony, easy parking and close to all major attractions. I higly reccomend this place to all of you more
